Caen make Toulouse pay the penalty

Toulouse slipped up in their pursuit of a place in Ligue 1's top three as they were defeated 1-0 by Caen.

Ivan Santini's second-half penalty was enough for the Normandy club to claim victory and climb to 12th in the standings while Toulouse remained fourth.

Toulouse conceded the penalty in the 63rd minute when defender Francois Moubandje handled the ball.

Santini stepped up to the spot and beat goalkeeper Alban Lafont with a strike high into the centre of the goal.

Oscar Trejo had a couple of late efforts blocked at the other end and Martin Braithwaite fired high and wide in stoppage time as Toulouse tried but failed to find an equaliser.
