Lille pay penalty as Benjamin Moukandjo wins it for Lorient

Benjamin Moukandjo's second-half penalty clinched Lorient a 1-0 home win against Lille and their first Ligue 1 success of the season.

Striker Moukandjo converted from the spot in the 76th minute after Lille substitute Stoppila Sunzu had handled.

Lorient halted a run of four straight defeats since the start of the season, but remain bottom of the table on goal difference.

Majeed Waris' header was well saved in the bottom corner by Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama just before Moukandjo broke the deadlock, while the visitors' Morgan Amalfitano, Nicolas de Preville and Marko Basa all spurned late chances.
