Hamburg win again as Filip Kostic's goal sinks Augsburg

Hamburg were celebrating for the second week running with Filip Kostic on target in a 1-0 win over Augsburg.

Hamburg came into the game buoyed by their first win of the season a week ago, and they appeared a much more confident side too, until Lewis Holtby lost his mind just before half-time and was shown a red card for aiming an elbow at Dominik Kohr.

Jonathan Schmid set up Halil Altintop for Augsburg's best chance of the game in the 52nd minute, but he made a hash of his first-time shot and sent the ball over the crossbar.

Kohr made a greater mess from an Augsburg point of view when he followed Holtby for an early bath for a second yellow card midway through the second half, and that allowed Hamburg to seize control again.

Kostic then scored the all-important goal in the 69th minute when he was on hand to turn the ball in after Nicolai Muller's low shot came back to him kindly off the left-hand post.
