Augsburg frustrated Hertha Berlin to pick up a precious point from a goalless draw in Bavaria.

It was a busy day for Augsburg goalkeeper Marwin Hitz, who had to be at his best to ensure his team took a share of the spoils at the Augsburg Arena.

His instinctive fingertip stop denied Alexander Esswein a goal against his former club before Rune Jarstein replicated with a fine save of his own at the other end to deny Philipp Max.

Hitz then denied his compatriot Valentin Stocker on two occasions in the second half as Hertha failed to find the win, which would have taken them into the top three.
