Schalke 04 3-1 Werder Bremen
Alessandro Schopf netted twice as Schalke extended their unbeaten run to five Bundesliga games with a 3-1 win over Werder Bremen. The Austria international gave the hosts the lead in the 35th minute and Nabil Bentaleb added a second just three minutes later.Serge Gnabry earned and scored a penalty just before half-time to give Bremen some hope going into the second 45 minutes, and to celebrate his first senior Germany call-up with his fourth goal of the season. The lively Schopf restored Schalke's two-goal advantage in the 63rd minute before Claudio Pizarro made his first appearance of the season for Bremen. The Bundesliga's all-time leading foreign goalscorer could not save his side from a third straight 3-1 defeat, though, as the northern Germany side slipped into the bottom three.ends
