FC Augsburg 0-2 VfL Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg took the first step in putting a disappointing 2015-16 campaign behind them with a 2-0 win at Augsburg.

Daniel Didavi opened his Wolfsburg account to put the visitors in front with their first real chance of the game, meeting a loose ball just inside the penalty area and placing it into the top left-hand corner.

A Ricardo Rodriguez free-kick, drilled low round the wall from 20 yards, sealed the Wolves' win with two minutes left to give Dieter Hecking's men a winning start to a season they hope will see a significant improvement on their eighth-place finish last term.
