Gustavo Bou's goal leads New England Revolution past Toronto FC
Gustavo Bou scored on an 83rd-minute penalty kick for his MLS-leading 12th goal to lift the New England Revolution past host Toronto FC 2-1 on Saturday night.
Bou, making his 50th MLS appearance, stutter-stepped and rocketed his right-footed shot into the left corner of the net. The penalty came after Toronto's Eriq Zavaleta wrapped his arms around New England's Adam Buksa in the box one minute earlier.
Tajon Buchanan scored in the 20th minute and Matt Turner had three saves for New England (13-3-4, 43 points), which extended its unbeaten streak to seven games (6-0-1).

Jonathan Osorio had equalized in the 79th minute for Toronto (3-10-6, 15 points), which entered in last place in the Eastern Conference and dropped to 1-3-5 at home this season. Alex Bono allowed both goals and made no saves.
New England had not beaten Toronto in their previous six meetings, including a 3-2 home loss to the Reds on July 7.
"It was the kind of game we expected. Toronto came out with a lot of energy," Revolution coach Bruce Arena told the team's myTV38 broadcast. "This was a game where (we had) to battle for 90 minutes."
The Revolution won their fourth straight road match and improved to 6-2-3 away from home to strengthen their position atop the Supporters' Shield table.
Buchanan, who hails from nearby Brampton, Ontario, gave the Revs a 1-0 lead with a leaping header that bounced high off the right post and in following a cross from DeJuan Jones.
Revolution midfielder Matt Polster exited early in the second half after suffering an apparent non-contact injury. Polster walked off the field under his own power and was subbed out for Tommy McNamara in the 55th minute.
Toronto midfielder Ralph Priso-Mbongue was also subbed out for Michael Bradley in the 69th minute with an injury.
New England again played without star midfielder and MLS assists leader Carles Gil as he recovers from a muscle injury.
