Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Thorgan Hazard has told Sport Bild that he hopes to reunite with his brother Eden at Chelsea one day.

The younger brother of Blues midfielder Eden joined the London club in 2012, but left Stamford Bridge for Gladbach on a permanent deal in January.

The 22-year-old spent the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons on loan at Belgian side Zulte Waregem, where he was named the Belgian Player of the Year.

Last summer he joined the Foals on loan, and put pen to paper on a contract until 2020 after impressing in the Bundesliga.

The deal, however, includes a buy-back option for Chelsea, and it has not been confirmed at what stage that could be activated.

The Gladbach youngster hopes one day to return to Stamford Bridge to play alongside his brother, saying: "I am at the right club. I can develop here, have a coach [Lucien Favre] who trusts me, and I am close to my native Belgium.

"It remains my goal to play with my brother Eden at my dream club Chelsea one day, but for now I want to stay at Gladbach for a long time."

The attacking midfielder revealed that his brother already tried to convince him to return to London this summer, though "[Eden] also knows that Gladbach are a great club for me."

The Bundesliga side are on course to qualify for their first ever Champions League campaign having previously only participated in the qualifiers in 2012, when they were knocked out by Dinamo Kiev.

"I have dreamt of playing Champions league since I was a small kid; now we want to fulfil our dreams and those of our fans," he said, adding that Manchester City's David Silva and Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus are "special players I try to learn from by watching."
