Liga MX outfit Club Queretaro are weighing up the possibility of bringing in current Brazil international Robinho to replace the outgoing Ronaldinho.

"Robinho is one of the possibilities we're looking at," Gallos Blancos sporting president Joaquin Beltran said on Monday.

There have been widespread reports that the 31-year-old former Real Madrid star was on Queretaro's radar, but Beltran is yet to decide whether the squad requires a more defensive player to take up one of the five foreigner spots that Liga MX rules allow.

"We have to define which position [is most required] to see who will be the player that comes in," added Beltran.

The Liga MX club finished as runner-up in the Clausura 2015 tournament and has been adamant that it is in the market for big-name players like Ronaldinho, despite the mixed results.

"Of course we will keep looking for elite players, but also ones that fit [with what the coach requires]," club president Arturo Villanueva said recently.

Robinho is currently with the Brazil squad at the Copa America and spent last season at his first club Santos, who he joined on loan from AC Milan on August 2014.

According to reports, the Brazilian could be available on a free transfer, after his contract with AC Milan was terminated by mutual consent back in May.
