Man City target Kevin De Bruyne won't demand move, no Bayern Munich bid

Manchester City target Kevin De Bruyne will not request a transfer, according to the Wolfsburg star's agent, while Bayern Munich have said they will not bid for the midfielder.

Wolfsburg had previously insisted that De Bruyne was not for sale but, amid widespread speculation that City were ready to offer around £47 million this week, coach Dieter Hecking said they would accept "an extraordinary offer" for the 24-year-old.

Kicker reported on Thursday that talks with City had taken place when Wolfsburg took part in the Emirates Cup last month, but the Belgium international's agent, Patrick De Koster, said the player would not look to force a move.

"There is no way we would do something like that -- we have a good relationship with Wolfsburg and a transfer request is not something that happens in Germany," he told The Guardian.

"At this stage we have not received a call to say that any bid has been accepted and until we do Kevin will stay where he is."

Bayern have also been strongly linked with De Bruyne, and kicker reported earlier this week that the Allianz Arena would be the player's preferred destination.

However, the German football magazine also said that Wolfsburg were unwilling to sell him to their Bundesliga rivals, and Rummenigge said the Bundesliga champions will not be making an offer.

"He's not on the market," Rummenigge told a news conference. "FC Bayern will not intervene, that's 100 percent clear. I am friend of the idea that contract lengths should be respected.

"We will not cause VfL Wolfsburg any headaches. I can reassure [Wolfsburg sporting executive] Klaus Allofs."

Bayern boss Pep Guardiola told journalists later on Thursday: "Kevin De Bruyne will not join us."

He then smiled broadly, and added: "He will stay at Wolfsburg."

Bayern -- who have already spent €79m this summer on Arturo Vidal, Douglas Costa, Joshua Kimmich and Sven Ulreich -- have also been linked with 19-year-old Juventus midfielder Kingsley Coman.

However, when asked about the speculation, Rummenigge replied: "It doesn't look like we will do any more transfers."
