Liverpool striker Samed Yesil makes season-long move to Luzern

Liverpool have announced that Samed Yesil has signed for Swiss club FC Luzern on a season-long loan deal.

The striker, 21, who moved to Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2012, will be managed by former Anfield favourite Markus Babbel.

He has made two senior appearances for Liverpool, both in the 2012-13 season.

The news comes after Liverpool announced the signing of Nigerian forward Taiwo Awoniyi, who will immediately head out on loan with FSV Frankfurt.

The 18-year-old, who joins the Reds having previously represented Imperial Academy in Nigeria, is to spend the rest of the season on loan with the second-division German side.

Liverpool have paid around £400,000 for Awoniyi's services, according to the Press Association.

He told the club's official website: "This is the biggest club in the world, and I'm privileged to be here."
