Glabach's Havard Nordtveit to go with 'gut' when making decision on future

Borussia Monchenglabach midfielder Havard Nordtveit says he will "go with [his] gut" when deciding his future in the upcoming weeks, amid reported interest from Borussia Dortmund.

Nordtveit, 25, who joined Monchenglabach in 2011, will be able to leave the Bundesliga club on a free transfer in the summer upon the expiry of his contract, having yet to agree terms on a new deal.

The Norway international, who has played in all but three of the Foals' competitive matches this season, has been linked with a move to Dortmund in the summer as well as a switch to the Premier League.

When asked whether he was surprised about the interest by Sport Bild, Nordtveit said that he is aware of it but also that he "feels great at Gladbach."

"It's a difficult decision, and I'll take it with my family," he added. "In the end, I'll have to go with my gut."

On Dortmund's interest, the midfielder said: "You have to clearly say that they are not a third-tier team, but rather one of the best in Europe. I have not made a decision yet. And it's important right now to not lose focus. We still have great goals here at Gladbach."

The Foals have struggled for form in recent weeks, having been eliminated from both the Champions League and DFB Pokal, while three defeats in their last four Bundesliga games have seen them drop to sixth in the table.
