Miroslav Klose to play last game for Lazio against Fiorentina

Lazio have confirmed that Miroslav Klose will play his last game for the Serie A club this Sunday evening, when they host Fiorentina.

Former Germany forward Klose, 37, will leave the Biancocelesti when his contract expires and he is expected to end his career either in the Bundesliga or with his former club Kaiserslautern in the country's second tier.

That decision is likely to be announced on Monday night, when Klose will bid farewell to his Lazio teammates at a club dinner.

He will first say goodbye to the Lazio fans after five years at the club on Sunday night, with the Serie A side confirming his departure with a Tweet on Tuesday, using the hashtag #KloseDay to promote a farewell party at the Stadio Olimpico.

Klose joined Lazio from Bayern Munich in 2011 and the 2014 World Cup winner has scored 63 goals for the Eternal City club -- the same number he scored for Werder Bremen and 10 more than he managed at Bayern.

One more goal on Sunday would make his five years at Lazio the most prolific in the career of the Germany national team's all-time top goal scorers.
