West Brom's Graham Dorrans to sign for Norwich on loan

Norwich City have announced that they are set to sign West Bromwich Albion midfielder Graham Dorrans on loan.

Scotland international Dorrans, 27, had come close to joining the Championship side during the winter transfer window but the move fell through.

Norwich announced on Tuesday, though, that an agreement is now in place for Dorrans to move to Carrow Road on Thursday on a deal that will run initially until March 22.

Dorrans, who is set to be available to face Watford this weekend, told Norwich's official website: "I'm glad to finally get it sorted.

"I came here on the last day of the transfer window and for whatever reason it didn't work out. I've been in discussions ever since then, so although I was frustrated it never got done on the final day hopefully now I can add to a good squad.

"I spoke to the manager [Alex Neil] and a couple of the boys, and they had nothing but nice things to say about the club. The manager and everyone here is working to get this club back to the Premier League, and I'm excited to be here.

"With the fans right behind us, hopefully we can do that as we've got some big games coming up. I'm looking forward to getting started, and to helping us push on."

Meanwhile, midfielder Bradley Johnson has signed a contract extension with Norwich until 2018.

Johnson, 27, told the club's official website: "I'm over the moon as I've already said how much I love the Club and how much I've enjoyed my time here.

"I've got some good memories of playing here, and I want to make some more now by hopefully getting promoted this year. I believe this is a Premier League Club, and I've always said that.

"It was disappointing we got relegated but we're on a good run and still in the mix to be promoted. That's one of the reasons I signed; because I believe we will be.

"I want to play in the Premier League. I had three great years there with Norwich City, and I want more."

Norwich, relegated from the Premier League last season, are currently in the final playoff spot in the Championship after 31 games.
