Jaguars WR Marvin Jones Jr. on what he's going to tell QB Trevor Lawrence after this loss: “Just keep going. And I know the type of personality he is, he will keep going. That's pretty much all you can say. That's all you need to say. He's very mature, especially for his age and being a rookie. I know nobody's going to work harder than him to go on Thursday and put up a good performance. But me as a vet, I said go home and drink some wine. That's what I'm going to do.”

Jaguars K Josh Lambo, who has missed his first three field goal attempts, said he has been moved by the way his teammates have stood behind him this past week. “The support and encouragement I've been getting has been very humbling,” Lambo said. “It's been very awesome to feel. I haven't been pulling my weight like I should and these guys are still loving on me and treating me like Josh Lambo, and that means a lot.”

The Jaguars have signed CB Nevin Lawson and placed TE James O'Shaughnessy (high ankle sprain) on injured reserve. The Las Vegas Raiders released Lawson on Monday after he served a two-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy. Lawson has 34 pass breakups but no interceptions in his seven-year career.

Jaguars coach Urban Meyer reiterated Monday that he believes K Josh Lambo will recover from 0 for 3 start. "I have confidence he's going to work through this," Meyer said. "I know the GM and personnel department's job is to see what's out there and all that. I'm convinced this guy can come through. I see the way he works. I see the way he hits it. I've stuck with kickers before and it's been great dividends so as of now we're going to stick with him.”

Urban Meyer said he's concerned about K Josh Lambo, who went 0 for 2 today and is 0 for 3 for the season. Not sure if they'll bring in Ks this week yet. "He's had a decent career, a very good career, and he works his tail off," Meyer said. "I'm not giving up on Josh Lambo. If he didn't work hard, wasn't a professional about everything he does, yeah, I'd have a problem with him. But he's missed some kicks and he's a professional. He's got to make those kicks and I've got confidence he will.”
