Eyeing up an unprecedented double
Having lived for many years in the shadow of her older sister Tirunesh (a 3-time Olympic champion), Genzebe Dibaba is gunning for an unprecedented 1500-5000m double in Rio.
Reigning world champion and world record holder in the 1500m (3:50.07), the Ethiopian also took 5000m bronze at the Beijing worlds in 2015.
The 25-year-old is now keen to make up for the disappointment of London 2012, where she sustained an injury in the 1500m heats.
World Athlete of the Year in 2015, and the holder of 4 indoor world records (1500m, 3000m, mile, 5000m), Dibaba will be hoping to get her hands on one of the few medals missing from her collection: Olympic gold.
