Match Commentary

83'33-16 End of half
83'33-16 End of half
81'TRY! Ojo in at the corner again. They made hard work of it - Delon Armitage going for the line and being caught when he should have passed - but the ball came back and a long pass wide had Irish players lining up to score. Ojo was the man who eventually applied the finishing touches. Lamb missed the conversion but he doesn't care. Irish have the win and the bonus point. What a victory!
81'+233-16 End of second half

75'26-16 Try - undefined , London Irish
75'Yellow card - Kevin Barrett , Saracens
74'Sarries' hopes are in the hands of the TMO - he is judging whether Topsy Ojo was pushed as he tried to touchdown............TRY! The TMO all but ends Sarries' hopes. Kevin Barrett was judged to have pushed Ojo in the act of scoring. The replacement scrum-half had little option after being outpaced as Ojo ran though to collect a kick-ahead.

55'21-13 Penalty goal - Derick Hougaard , Saracens
55'21-10 Conversion - Ryan Lamb , London Irish
54'Lamb adds the extras this time around. However, right from the restart Derick Hougaard - on at fly-half - slots over a penalty to keep Sarries in touch.
54'Player substituted - Adam Powell , Saracens
54'Substitute on - Kameli Ratuvou , Saracens
54'19-10 Try - Sailosi Tagicakibau , London Irish
53'TRY! Irish are over again, with Sailosi Tagicakibau sauntering over in the same corner. Again Steffon Armitage played a crucial role, sparking a fine counter attack. After Sarries had briefly threatened to snuff out the danger, Irish recycled the ball quickly and Lamb eased a lovely kick into the corner, where Tagicakibau was waiting to pounce.
53'Player substituted - Carlos Nieto , Saracens
53'Substitute on - Petrus Du Plessis , Saracens
53'Player substituted - Rhys Gill , Saracens
53'Substitute on - Deon Carstens , Saracens
51'14-10 Try - Delon Armitage , London Irish
50'TRY! Delon Armitage makes amends for his earlier sin-binning by crossing in the corner to put the Exiles ahead for the first time in the game. Paul Hodgson started what was a slick move down the blindside which ended with Armitage scampering over after being released by his brother Steffon. Lamb, though, can't pull off the touchline kick.
47'Substitute on - Alex Corbisiero , London Irish
47'Player substituted - Faan Rautenbach , London Irish
47'Player substituted - David Paice , London Irish
47'Substitute on - James Buckland , London Irish
45'9-10 Penalty goal - Ryan Lamb , London Irish
44'Lamb is instructed to go for goal with the resulting penalty and he splits the sticks to draw the Exiles to within a point.
44'Yellow card - Alex Goode , Saracens
43'Irish battering Sarries' line. Alex Goode is stomping off after seeing yellow. He was pinged for deliberately slapping down Lamb's potentially try-scoring pass.
41'+26-10 End of first half
40'6-10 Start of second half
37'6-10 Penalty goal - Ryan Lamb , London Irish
36'Again Irish reply immediately with a Lamb penalty. The Gloucester fly-half's kicking is starting to eclipse that of his opposite number. That's two from three for Lamb.
34'3-10 Try - Schalk Brits , Saracens
33'TRY! Sarries in again for try number two. Storming run from Joubert off a scrum provides Sarries with good field position and the ball goes out to Brits, who barges over. Goode, though, fails to convert once once more.
29'3-5 Penalty goal - Ryan Lamb , London Irish
28'PENALTY! Lamb finds his range with a sweeping, curling strike. That was a crucial riposte from Irish, scoring straight after their opponents.
26'0-5 Try - Ernst Joubert , Saracens
25'TRY! The deadlock is broken by Ernst Joubert. Great move from Sarries, who went one way and then the other. Brits was crucial again, off-loading to Chris Wyles, who in turn did remarkably well to put Joubert over in the corner. The extra points go begging, though.
23'Yellow card - Delon Armitage , London Irish
22'Delon Armitage is guilty of a high and late tackle and the referee is going to his pocket here. The Exiles fullback is heading for the bin for ten minutes and he's more than a little upset about that.
1'Twickenham is buzzing once again. The flags are out in force as Irish and Saracens fans wait to see what is in store for this season. How important is this opening weekend encounter? Only time will tell, of course, but both sides will be going all out for victory, that's for sure. Click here to follow the action on our interactive MatchDayLIVE service.
