Match Commentary

81'That's the final whistle. Job done here for the Springboks as they cruise to a relatively painless 37-15, picking up a bonus point in the process. It was scrappy at times, and there are sure to be areas of concern, but a solid display from the hosts overall, particularly in the scrum.
81'37-15 End of second half
78'Big cheers around the stadium as young Curwin Bosch comes on for his senior debut, replacing Jantjies. It's a nervous opening few minutes for the youngster though. First his kick is charged down only for Argentina to knock-on, then he fails to find touch from a penalty kick.

60'Try for Argentina! Just as it looks like the Boks are starting to run away with this one, the Pumas bounce right back. A string of penalties allows Hernandez to kick closer and closer to the right-hand corner flag. The Pumas gradually shift the ball from one sideline to the other before Boffelli finishes things off. Hernandez converts impressively with his first kick. Argentina still in this one.

41'13-5 End of first half
40'Not the high-scoring affair we saw between New Zealand and Australia earlier, but still a decent first half in Port Elizabeth. Despite the Argentina try, the Springboks have been in control for most of the first 40 minutes but need to make better use of their possession in Pumas territory.
40'13-5 Start of second half
38'Try for South Africa! It doesn't take long for the Springboks to bounce back, as Courtnall Skosan is put through by a nice offload from Jantjies.
