Teenage wonder Curwin Bosch racked up an individual tally of 20 points including a try as the Sharks eased past the Western Force 37-12 in Durban.
The 19-year-old opened the scoring with successive penalties to put the home side ahead 6-0 after 10 minutes before the Force got into the game.
Wing James Verity-Amm found the whitewash for the visitors, and after Ian Prior's conversion the Force were ahead 7-6 in the 27th minute.
But that's as good as it got for the Perth-based franchise whose future in Super Rugby beyond this season is in jeopardy.
The Sharks landed two knockout blows on the stroke of halftime with Jeremy Ward and Jean-Luc du Preez scoring, and with Bosch adding the extras for both tries the Sharks led 20-7 at the break.
Another Bosch penalty early in the second half extended the Sharks lead, before the young fly-half finished off a brilliant attack to score moments later.
Patrick Lambie replaced Bosch with 20 minutes to play with the result looking secure for the home side who led 30-7.
The Force showed some late fight and were rewarded for their endeavour with Marcel Brache scoring a try, but the Sharks had the final say through Lukhanyo Am to secure their seventh win of the season.
