The Franchise QBs: Final rankings of the top signal-callers in Saints history

We've identified the top all-time quarterbacks for every NFL team and asked our NFL Nation beat reporters -- and you, the fans -- to help us determine each signal-caller's place in franchise history.

What follows is the final ranking of the top quarterbacks in New Orleans Saints history, both from our NFL Nation reporter and our final fan polling.

NFL Nation ranking:

1. Drew Brees

2. Archie Manning

3. Bobby Hebert

4. Aaron Brooks

5. Billy Kilmer

No. 1 is obvious, since Brees is a future Hall of Famer who led the Saints to their only Super Bowl win and has thrown for more yards and touchdown passes (53,763 and 385) than any QB in any 11-year period in NFL history. No. 2 is also pretty obvious, since Manning is a beloved franchise icon and two-time Pro Bowler, despite a lot of lean years spent running for his life behind a porous offensive line. Hebert gets the slight nod over Brooks, since he was a solid leader for some great teams in the "Dome Patrol" era. Kilmer gave the Saints some respectability during their first four years of existence. -- Mike Triplett
