PV Sindhu added another feather to her burgeoning list of achievements by winning the Korea Open on Sunday, defeating Japan's Nozomi Okuhara 22-20, 11-21, 21-18 in a tightly-contested final. Here's a look at some of the numbers that emerged from the win:

1

Sindhu became the first Indian to win the Korea Open Superseries. Ajay Jayaram was the only other Indian to make the final of the men's singles event in the 2015, eventually losing to Chen Long. The 22-year old is also the first Indian woman to win a silver at the Olympics and a World Championships medal.

5

Number of Superseries titles won by Indians this year. B Sai Praneeth won the Singapore Open while Kidambi Srikanth won the Indonesia Open and the Australian Open. Sindhu had won the India Open earlier this year.

2

Sindhu's two Superseries titles this year are only behind World No. 1 Tai Tzu Ying's three titles in the women's singles category. Tai won the All England Open, Malaysia Open and Singapore Open -- the first three Superseries events that she participated in this year.

3

This was Sindhu's third Superseries win. Apart from the India Open title, she had won the China Open last year. Among Indian players, only Saina Nehwal (10) and Kidambi Srikanth (4) have won more Superseries titles than Sindhu.

14

Okuhara had won her last 14 matches before losing to Sindhu in the final. She had won the Australian Open (5 wins) and the World Championships (5 wins) before winning four matches to reach the final in Seoul. This was only Okuhara's third loss in a Superseries final. She had won four of her six previous Superseries finals.
