Dez Bryant: Results on injured knee will come Wednesday

FRISCO, Texas -- The mystery surrounding Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant's injured right knee should come to an end Wednesday.

Bryant tweeted the above after a fan asked about the results of an MRI on his knee. When Bryant actually had the MRI is up for debate. After Sunday's win against the Chicago Bears, owner and general manager Jerry Jones said Bryant would have more tests Monday, but speaking Tuesday morning on 105.3 FM The Fan in Dallas, Jones said he was unaware Bryant had an MRI and that he could have one that day.

Bryant's tweet confirms he at least had the MRI, but the delay is curious because injured players are required to show up for treatment after games even though Monday is the players' off day.

Bryant was injured on the second play of Sunday's game when linebacker Christian Jones dragged the receiver down after an 11-yard gain. Bryant's knee and ankle got caught under Jones and he went to the ground before getting off the field.

He missed six plays before returning and finished the game with three catches for 40 yards, including a 17-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Bryant played 52 of 68 snaps but was not on the field late in the fourth quarter as the Cowboys attempted to run out the clock.

It is not clear whether Bryant will practice later Wednesday. He missed nine games last season because of a broken right foot. He also suffered a knee injury following his return from foot surgery that limited his effectiveness.

Bryant has 11 catches for 150 yards and a touchdown this season.
