As part of ESPN Fantasy's efforts to provide daily fantasy gamers intel on whom to target in DFS, our fantasy basketball experts are here to show you which players they are building their teams around and which sleepers they are taking fliers on. Today's panel features picks from Joe Kaiser, Tom Carpenter, Jim McCormick, Cynthia Frelund and Dailyfantasybootcamp.com's Al Zeidenfeld.

Building Block

Joe Kaiser -- Damian Lillard, PG, Portland Trail Blazers

The Oakland native loves playing against the Warriors, and it showed when the two teams faced each other last month -- Lillard put up 51 points in that one. It's always smart to read deeper into matchups, to seek out games where a player has added motivation, and this is certainly one of those games for Lillard. He won't cost you as much as Stephen Curry or Russell Westbrook tonight, but his ceiling isn't far behind.

Tom Carpenter -- Damian Lillard, PG, Portland Trail Blazers

The Warriors already have proved they can’t contain Lillard. In two games against them this season he's racked up 51 points, 9 3s, 7 dimes, 6 steals and 40 points, 6 threes, 10 dimes and 2 steals. The Warriors also have allowed the most DraftKings and FanDuel points to point guards in the past three weeks and haven’t defended the arc well lately. He costs less than the other elite options tonight and should come through in this high-scoring affair, which is projected for 227 points.

Jim McCormick -- Victor Oladipo, SG, Orlando Magic

With Elfrid Payton ailing and Nikola Vucevic already ruled out, Oladipo could hit peak usage in this unique pace and point setup. The Kings are still allergic to defense, while they lead the league in pace at the same time. The implied point ingredients in this game are uniquely positive, while only Rudy Gay was in consideration as my other building block in this same encouraging fantasy climate.

Cynthia Frelund -- Darren Collison, PG, Sacramento Kings

Put Collison on your low-cost watch list. He's facing Orlando, who have been top 10 in terms of giving up points to point guards during the season, in a game where the fourth-most points are projected. Plus, Collison's game averages during the past 10 are solid: 33 minutes, 13.4 points and 4.6 assists.

Al Zeidenfeld -- Kevin Durant, SF, Oklahoma City Thunder

Don't overthink this one. With all the early news on injuries and suspensions, there is more than enough value to easily fit Durant into your lineups. His gamelog is astounding from a fantasy perspective at this point with only one game under 40 fantasy points since the beginning of February and 10 of the 15 games in that span reaching between 50-72. I don't need to get into the advanced metrics to break this down for you as it's as simple as this; play Kevin Durant.

Sleeper

Joe Kaiser -- Isaiah Thomas, PG, Boston Celtics

Thomas is in a nice offensive groove these days, which isn't exactly a rare thing. But when Thomas is playing well and facing a poor defense like Houston's, you have to consider him. Tonight, with so many other big-name point guards out there, Thomas will certainly be overlooked despite a terrific matchup against the Rockets.

Tom Carpenter -- Thaddeus Young, PF, Brooklyn Nets

After a couple of dud outings, Young has a relatively affordable contract on DraftKings ($6,600) and FanDuel ($6,800). He also has a choice matchup against the 76ers, who have given up the second-most DK points and third-most FD points to power forwards in the past three weeks. They also rank dead last in rebounding rate and second to last in defensive efficiency in the past month.

Jim McCormick -- Darren Collison, PG, Sacramento Kings

Sticking in this fun pace and point setup, Collison should see at least 30 minutes against a soft Orlando defense. In order to afford some of the key superstars in the Blazers and Warriors game, for example, getting several savings shares in this Kings/Magic game could prove prudent.

Cynthia Frelund -- Zach LaVine, SG, Minnesota Timberwolves

The Timberwolves are sizable underdogs against the Thunder tonight, but there are lots of points projected in this one and the Thunder have allowed opposing guards to score in the top 10 in the league. LaVine's past 10 games averages: 37.1 mins, 16.8 points.

Al Zeidenfeld -- Pau Gasol, C, Chicago Bulls

There are a lot of viable centers tonight, many of whom will get more attention than Gasol -- which makes him a great contrarian play for tournaments. His fantasy value increases greatly with Jimmy Butler off the floor, but not in the way most will be looking. While his fantasy point per minute production increases from 1.24 to 1.37, his usage rate stays mostly the same (25.3 percent while playing with Butler versus 26 percent without). The cause for the increase in production when Gasol plays without Butler is that the entire Bulls offense flows through his hands and we see a spike in his assist percentage from 17.7 percent to 27.3 percent.
