Crisp County knocked out of baseball rankings

Georgia opened the season with Parkview and Columbus in the discussion for a national title. Now it appears Gainesville has the best shot at sitting atop the final POWERADE FAB 50. The No. 3-ranked Red Elephants have reeled off 29 straight wins and are the state's lone undefeated squad after Crisp County was swept by Allatoona this past week. Columbus still has an outside shot at No. 10, while Greenbrier (17) and Parkview (23) remain ranked. New to the mix is the aforementioned Allatoona squad and a red-hot Buford squad that has one of the state's most unhittable staffs.

Here's a look at the top of the rankings:

1. Gainesville (27-0) — last week No. 1

2. Columbus (25-3) — last week No. 3

3. Greenbrier (26-2) — last week No. 4
