Washington Week 1 POWERADE baseball rankings

We're a few weeks into the spring and a new No. 1 squad has already emerged. Led by ace Matt Becker, undefeated Puyallup has supplanted Mount Si atop our state rankings. Becker recorded a one-hit, 11-K outing last week and has spearheaded a rotation that has posted four shutouts. The strong start has catapulted the squad to No. 41 in the POWERADE FAB 50. Preseason No. 1 Mount Si drops a spot after falling to Kennewick, which makes its debut at No. 9. Also new to the mix is No. 3 Woodinville and sixth-ranked Enumclaw, who have combined for seven wins and only one loss. It's still early in the season, so expect even more shuffling when we return next week.

Here's a look at the top three teams:

1. Puyallup (6-0) — last week No. 9

2. Mount Si (4-1) — last week No. 1

3. Camas (4-1) — last week No. 3
