Here are the highlights and relevant notes from Rounds 2-10 of the MLB draft. A few notes before we begin:

• If we have scouting profiles of the player mentioned, his name will link to these in-depth profiles, written by Christopher Crawford, Keith Law and myself.

• We use the 20-80 grading scale for all MLB prospects.

ROUND 2

• Round 2 saw many terrific value picks, led by the Phillies' selection of sweet-swinging Arizona 2B Scott Kingery and the Brewers' selection of Cal Poly Pomona righty Cody Ponce. Kingery should move quickly through Philly's system, so he and prospect J.P. Crawford should arrive in the majors at about the same time. Ponce had the most upside among the healthy arms remaining.

• The Braves' selection of Lucas Herbert with their 54th pick was more than just a cutesy, feel-good selection to make Herbert's high school teammate and top Braves pick Kolby Allard happy. Herbert is a good catcher, and he showed a lot of offensive improvement this season. I don't think he'll have an impact bat, but the glove and arm are good enough to carry him
