          ESPN 300 defensive end Solomon Thomas (Coppell, Texas/Coppell) ended his recruiting process with a tree, glasses taped in the middle and a big smile while sitting with his family.

          Thomas, the No. 4 defensive end in the country and No. 25 player in the ESPN 300, verbally committed to Stanford. A 6-foot-3, 256-pound athlete, Thomas chose the Cardinal over Arkansas and UCLA.
