ESPN 300 wide receiver Tommy Bush was presented with an Under Armour All America jersey on Wednesday at Samuel Clemens (Schertz, Texas) High.
“This means a lot because I’ve always to be selected to an All-American Game,” said Bush. “When Under Armour invited me, I knew my hard work was paying off. This means a lot to my family and I.”
The No. 7-ranked prospect in the Lone Star State is one of the top uncommitted prospects in the country. Fresh off of an official visit to Nebraska, Bush is still in the planning stages for his next trips with an announcement scheduled for the Under Armour All-America Game Jan. 4 on ESPN2.
“I’m going to Texas next weekend (Oct. 21), but that will be unofficial,” Bush said. “I’m probably going to make an official visit to Michigan State, but haven’t set the date yet.”
Baylor, Texas, Florida State, Nebraska and Michigan State are among the teams mentioned most with Bush’s recruitment at this point.
Four questions with Tommy Bush:
What player are you looking forward to competing with or against in the Under Armour All-America Game?
I don’t have anyone specific that I’m looking to going up against. Everybody that will be out there will be a beast, so it’s just competing against the best of the best.
If you could start a team with any player in your class, who would it be and why?
You have to start off with a quarterback because they make everything go. I’m not sure about which quarterback I would choose, but that is where it all starts.
What is your earliest football memory?
When I first started padded football, our first practice before we put the pads on and we did so much conditioning. I remember wondering if it would ever stop. That was in seventh grade when I lived in Gulfbreeze, Florida.
What number do your wear, and why?
I wear 11 because my favorite player is Julio Jones. If I didn’t wear 11, it would be 18 because A.J. Green is my second favorite player.
