Stephen Curry is averaging a NBA-high 31.9 points per game this season, 3.0 more than James Harden, who is second.

Curry's scoring average, however, is more impressive considering he's playing 33.9 minutes per game. He is scoring almost a point per minute (0.94 point per minute). Harden is averaging 39.4 minutes and 0.73 point per minute.

When you look at the scoring leaders on a per-40 minute basis, Curry's lead widens.

Curry's shooting accuracy has been off the charts in the early going.

He has easily posted 50-40-90 marks (in field goal percentage, 3-point field goal percentage and free throw percentage) through nine games.

Not surprisingly, he leads the NBA with a player efficiency rating of 36.3.

Curry has been productive from all areas of the court.

Curry has made a league-high 44 3-pointers this season. That’s more than three teams (the Grizzlies, Timberwolves and Nets). Only three other players in the NBA –- Damian Lillard, Eric Gordon and George Hill -– have made even half as many 3-pointers as Curry.

It's not just about shooting, either. Curry is averaging 5.8 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 steals (second-most in the NBA). He has 27 turnovers this season compared to 24 steals, virtually washing out every turnover with a steal on the other end.
