When Sacramento jettisoned Mike Bibby to Atlanta for spare parts in February, it became obvious the team was set on rebuilding. But what's most in need of renovation is the Kings' castle. "You can definitely see the disrepair," says blogger Tom Ziller of the once-beloved ARCO. "There are tarps in the rafters positioned to funnel leaking rain to central collectors, and the insulation in the roof is visible around the entire circumference of the building." Don't expect the place to be fixed soon. Owners Joe and Gavin Maloof wanted the city to help fund the new arena through 500 mil in taxpayer cash, but the city voted no on the measure. There were rumblings about uprooting the Kings and reinstalling them in Sin City, which prompted the commish to step in and help figure out a solution.
