The 2019 ACC championship game will be held at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina. It features the Clemson Tigers against the Virginia Cavaliers, and you can watch it on ABC, on the ESPN App, or you can follow our live ACC gamecast here.
The Tigers went 12-0 this season, and won the ACC Atlantic. Clemson will be riding a streak of four straight ACC championships when they play the ACC Coastal division champion Cavaliers, who are looking for their first outright ACC football title.
Who is favored in the ACC championship?
Clemson is heavily favored by 28 points. The Tigers are coming off a blowout win against South Carolina, and their offense has been rolling, which includes a rush average of 256.4 yards per game -- 10th in the nation. Their defense has also been giving up only 10 points per game, making it the best in the nation.
While it might be a close game to start, the Clemson defense probably will step it up and help the Tigers put distance between them and the Cavaliers.
Last season, Clemson beat Pittsburgh 42-10 in the ACC title game.
How did Clemson get here?
The Tigers finished the season with a 12-0 record -- they have also won 37 straight games -- for the second straight year and are No. 3 in the College Football Playoff rankings.
But, they lack any eye-popping wins -- something that has not gone unnoticed by fans and recently riled up the Tigers' head coach. In case you missed it, Dabo Swinney recently said the CFP committee members "don't want us there anyway."
Clemson is the only team among the top 19 in the CFP rankings that hasn't faced a team currently in the committee's top 25. The Tigers also have faced only three Power 5 opponents this season with winning records.
Regardless, quarterback Trevor Lawrence has parked himself atop the list of best quarterbacks after an average start to the season, running back Travis Etienne set ACC career records for touchdowns from scrimmage (57) and rushing TDs (53) and Clemson's defense has remained dominant to help push them safely into the College Football Playoff.

How did Virginia get here?
The Cavaliers have become a pleasant surprise in college football, concluding the regular season by breaking a 14-season losing streak against Virginia Tech to punch a ticket to the ACC title game.
Virginia might not be able to topple Clemson but can certainly be problematic in this game.
According to FiveThirtyEight, only three teams have a high pressure rate against quarterbacks than Virginia, and that includes Clemson. Getting to the quarterback and succeeding in special teams could give Virginia a chance.
