SEATTLE -- Washington sophomore defensive end Hau'oli Jamora will miss the rest of the 2011 season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.
The Huskies announced the diagnosis on Monday morning. Jamora was injured early in Washington's 31-23 win over California on Saturday.
It's a big blow to the Huskies defense. Jamora had emerged as Washington's best pass rushing threat off the end and is tied for fifth on the team with 15 tackles. He also had three tackles for loss and one sack through four games.
Jamora was replaced in the lineup on Saturday by a rotation of ends that included freshmen Josh Shirley and Andrew Hudson.
