We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Hope to see you all on Saturday for the third ODI. Until then, it's goodbye from all of us

Charith Asalanka, Sri Lanka Captain: It was a fair pitch, bad batting in the powerplay cost us the game. Trying to find a way to (get things right in ODI). We should have done better with overcast conditions...expected to pick few wickets in the powerplay, but we couldn't do that. Comeback is the key, and we have to get out of (this situation)

Mitchell Santner, New Zealand Captain: I think we opened up pretty well, we lost wickets at times, but I think still pretty happy with the score on a wicket that offer a little bit. It was still very competitive, knew we had to bowl really well at the start. Credit to Theekshana, he knew what to do; bowled wide and made us hit to the bigger side. (On toss) Usually it does swing a little bit under the lights but the lengths and the bounce our bowlers got made it challenging. I guess it's another important game, but we will get different conditions in Pakistan but good to have roles clear...

Rachin Ravindra, Player of the Match: I enjoy ODI format although you don't see many games happening now. I've got a pretty nice bat so I can't complain. Probably could have hit it over the top but it was a nice catch. We don't play for milestones. The way our boys bowled was fantastic

It was a mighty impressive bowling performance from New Zealand as the seamers started the rot in the powerplay, with the fate of the match decided then and there as Pathum Nissanka, Avishka Fernando, and Kusal Mendis departed early in the piece. Some resistance from Kamindu Mendis made things interesting but wickets continued to fall at tegular intervals, and they never seemed like taking the game away. Some disastrous runouts made things go from bad to worse. O'Rourke took three, Henry bowled tightly and claimed one, Duffy snapped up two while Smith and Santner picked up one wicket apiece; everyone chipped in, and the bowlers had a wonderful day at the office. Handy contributions from Ravindra, Chapman, Mitchell, and Phillips ensured they posted an above-par total in a rain-curtailed affair, giving their bowlers plenty to defend. The ball was moving extravagantly in the powerplay and the New Zealand seamers hit the right areas, wreaking havoc on the visitors. Their impeccable control of line and length was remarkable, a testament to the strong fast-bowling stocks in New Zealand. The squad is shaping up nicely for the upcoming Champions Trophy. On the other hand, Sri Lanka face plenty of challenges. They weren't tight with the ball early on and while they made some recovery at the death, a lot of damage had already been done by then. Also, the batting is flimsy and vulnerable to collapse. It was a forgettable day for the visitors. Will Sri Lanka bag a consolation win on Saturday and gain some confidence as they gear up for the marquee event in Pakistan?

O'Rourke to Theekshana, OUT, Mitchell has taken a gem at cover over his head, timing the jump immaculately, and that will be the end of this lopsided affair. It was shortish ball with slight bit of width, Theekshana tried to spank it over cover but the fielding has been spectacular today and they've lived up to their credo. New Zealand win the series comprehensively
