0.2 And Zadran is gone! Asitha pitches this up much fuller, it pitches on off and nips in past the inside edge of Zadran's tentative push forward. He's struck on the back pad in front of middle and the umpire won't have much easier calls to make for the rest of this Test 0/1
14.3 Oh no, that's gone high in the air and Vishwa Fernando settles under it after what seemed like an eternity! Back of length delivery seamed in after pitching outside leg. Noor Ali was hurried into the shot as he swivelled and looked to jab it towards midwicket. Takes the top edge and the ball goes up and to the batter's left. Vishwa wanted it for himself and makes no mistake! 57/2
45.1 Incredible work from Sadeera Samarawickrama behind the stumps! Wow that is special! Shah falls short of his ton, but this was no fault of his. He goes for the paddle sweep, looking to taking this from off stump, but Sadeera spotted it and was moving to his left even before the ball landed. He ends up grabbing this this near his shins with his left glove, and he's standing almost in line with where leg slip would be. They go up to check for a bump ball, but this looks good. Shah is gone for a well played 91. 155/5
32.2 Has he nicked it? Shahidi is walking! Almost like the very first delivery he faced today, Shahidi swings at a back of length delivery outside off. It's too close for the cut, though and he gets a thin edge that's gobbled up by the keeper. The bowling change works wonders and Vishwa picks up his second wicket 109/3
33.5 What have you done Jamal? Looks to leave a full delivery that pitches just outside off, but this one doesn't spin and hits the off pole! The line was too close to the stumps for Jamal to leave, especially on a pitch where it's not turning a lot yet! He will be disappointed with that. Maybe the fact that Jayasuriya almost drew the outside edge with the previous delivery played on his mind 110/4
50.5 Taken at gully! Alikhil has cut it hard, but that's a very good catch, low to his right by Nishan Madushka. This was a length ball that pitched wide of off and angled in. Alikhil middled that as he looked to carve it behind point, but that was hit too fine and Madushka makes no mistake! Vishwa gets the important wicket of the set Alikhil 169/6
59.4 Qais falls over trying to sweep a full ball and is hit on the back thigh in front of the stumps. Finger goes up immediately! Qais reviews, but this looks plumb. This was full on middle and and it spun back in towards the stumps. Ball tracking shows that was going on to hit middle and leg and Qais' cameo comes to an end 190/8
54.3 Loud appeal and the finger goes up immediately! Afghanistan review, though. This was angling to pitch around off and straighten. Hits him high on the front pad. No bat on that and ball-tracking shows that to be hammering onto top of leg-stump. Zia-ur-Rehman's debut knock is cut short and Vishwa Fernando has his fourth! 182/7
62.2 Spooned back to the bowler! It's a full toss around off and Nijat gives it a push and the ball nicely sits up for Asitha to hold on to on his follow through. Afghanistan go nine down! 198/9

62.4 Knocks him over with a yorker! Vishwa Fernando will feel hard done by, missing out on a fifer, but his loss is Asitha's gain as he picks up two wickets in his last over. Afghanistan are knocked over for 198 as Asitha knocks the off-stump back 198/10

16.2 Has he clipped one straight to leg slip? Length ball on middle and leg, Madushka looks to tickle it fine but gets it to that wide leg slip fielder, who takes a good, low catch. A wicket out of nowhere! And that's a first in Test cricket for Naveed Zadran! 93/1
29.1 Karunaratne has thrown it away! He throws his head up in disgust! As he should. This was a full toss, could've played it anywhere. Skips down the track, takes it from knee high and hits it straight at short midwicket 148/3
21.1 Top-edged to long leg! Bouncer around off, and the short ball ploy pays off! Mendis goes for the pull but miscues it. Zia-ur-Rehman makes no mistake as it goes straight to him. Afghanistan have made two breakthroughs in the first hour today! 115/2
101.2 Angelo Mathews just can't stay away from weird dismissals! He's out hit wicket nine runs short of 150! This was a long hop well down leg, Mathews absolutely clobbers the sweep and it runs away for four down to fine leg. But in his follow through he has clattered the stumps as well. There's handshakes all around as the players follow Mathews off the field, as with that stumps is also called! 410/6
92.3 And the partnership is finally broken! Good length in that corridor outside off, Chandimal as a poke at this and feathers behind. Chandimal is gone for 107, the partnership ends on 232 380/4
92.4 Oh absolute chaos and Afghanistan have two in two! This was full and driven straight of mid-off and DDS sets off for a single. Mathews is walking at the other end, looking at the ball not his partner. The minute the fielder throws himself to his right and collects the ball, Mathews sends him back. There's still a lot to be done though, but the throw at the striker's end is perfect. Direct hit and DDS is gone first ball 380/5
106.1 Well taken at gully! Sadeera takes the bait, as this was pitched up outside off and he reaches for the drive. Gets a thick edge and Rahmat takes an excellent catch, two hands over his right shoulder 427/7
109.1 Edged for four! Afghanistan had just spread the field for Chamika, aiming to get the tailender on strike. But the plan has backfired, as this length ball on off is edged exactly where the removed slip would have been. 439/8
108.4 Jayasuriya has lost the top of off! This was a good length, angled in. Jayasuriya goes back and plays down the wrong line and off stump is disturbed 435/8

109.2 Knocked him over first ball! Is that it for Sri Lanka's innings? Full on off, straightening just a smidgen, and Asitha plays down the wrong line. Ball hits top of off, and Sri Lanka are walking off 439/9

89.5 Through the gate, what a beauty! This one landed almost exactly where the earlier one had gripped and turned, perhaps a touch fuller. Ibrahim comes forward to defend and leaves a bare gap between bat and pad, maybe accounting for that earlier turn. But that's enough for Jayasuriya to sneak this one through, courtesy a minor deflection off the front pad 237/3
42.5 But no matter cos now the finger does go up! Asitha finally has his man! This one tailed in from a good length as Noor went for the drive. He missed and was struck on the back knee roll. They review and it shows umpire's call on hitting wickets 106/1
81.2 a faint tickle - almost inaudible - and Rahmat falls! Rajitha's delight knows no limits. This time he barely pulled his length back when compared to the previous ball, but landed it just about on off stump. Rahmat went to defend, but got the outside edge to the keeper. Sri Lanka hit back with the new ball 214/2
93.2 And now he's got him, thin edge through to the keeper! This was tossed up on a good length once more and Shahidi comes forward to defend. But he's played down the wrong line and this one has taken a faint edge through 246/4

94.4 Edged and gone! The bouncer follows one on a good length just outside off. Alikhil pushes forward and gets a thick edge through to Kusal Mendis at second slip, who dives forward and takes an excellent low grab. Umpire's go upstairs to check if this is clean, but Alikhil has already begun walking. And yes, the replays do seem to show that he's got his fingers under the ball. Sri Lanka are into the tail 247/5
95.1 Another phenomenal grab in the slips! Sri Lanka are rocking and rolling! This was on a good length and spun sharply to take the outside edge on the forward defence. This though was no easy chance. DDS has leapt full length low and forward to his right and scooped it with his fingertips mere centimetres off the ground! Outstanding work 248/6
97.4 And Jayasuriya has his fourth! Pitched pretty much exactly where the last one did, but this one went with the arm. Zia steps forward and leaves this alone, but it skids on and crashes into off stump. Exquisite natural variation 250/7
103.3 hits off stump! Jayasuriya teases Naveed and goes much slower at 77kph, and he earns his fifth wicket with that. He bowled on a length, getting it to dip on middle. The ball turned away much after Naveed was into his attempted across-the-line heave, something he had played in Jayasuriya's last over too. But this time he missed, and the ball hit the top of off 271/8
108.6 Rajitha, the keeper and the rest of their team-mates are up in appeal for a potential caught behind, but it's not given. And Sri Lanka review, as they have one left. It was a near yorker-length ball on fourth stump, as Masood looked to jam his bat down at it. The initial impression I got was that the sound was of bat hitting the ground. But the third umpire sees a spike even as the ball passes close to the bat, which is, in turn, ramming on to the ground. This could take a while, as the third umpire sees multiple replays to confirm what exactly that spike has got to do with. He keeps telling "next frame, next frame" to the producer, as this gets tricky. He thinks the ball might have tickled the bat, but goes back to seeing a real-time replay. Now he looks at the replay from front on, and feels "there is a clear deviation off the bat", which all but reverses the original not-out decision. Afghanistan lose their ninth 284/9
112.3 And the innings comes to an end! Saleem goes for a wild swipe to this back of a length ball outside off and gets a top edge that flies straight up. DDS circles under it from slip, and holds on with a big grin to boot. Sri Lanka need 56 to win! 296/10
