England win by 85 runs and take this short series 2-0, as was expected. Two very efficient victories although they had to dig a little deeper at stages today. It was an improved display from Ireland with bat, ball and in the field even if a gulf still remained. England's innings was set up by Morgan and Root then finished off by Bairstow and Rashid. Ireland made a flyer with the bat before Jake Ball and Liam Plunkett slowed them, followed by Root's career-best with the ball. England's players (most of them) now head back to the Royal London Cup for a few days - Morgan and Billings back to the IPL - then they have a training camp in Spain ahead of the three-match series against South Africa. Their Champions Trophy campaign begins on June 1. For Ireland, it's back home for an important triangular series involving New Zealand and Bangladesh. A chance for more top-level cricket. Will Ireland's selectors decide to look at some new faces? I'll bring you the presentation shortly.

William Porterfield "I thought we were much improved today. We put a lot of things right. We kept going even through that big partnership. With the bat, just a couple of wickets behind the game. Lot of credit Barry McCarthy for coming in for a big game. We did a lot of hard work, not making easy for anyone to start, but credit to Bairstow and Rashid at the end. But lads put their hand up. After Friday it would have been easy to hide away, but we took a step forward. Even when we were six down."

Eoin Morgan "Today presented different challenges, cloud cover this morning and the openers did really well. We should have been more clinical, one of us should have got a big score, but Jonny and Adil led us home really well. [Jonny] is another selection headache, but it's a great position to be in. The quality of cricket coming up is extremely good and that's what we want. Great to see Woody back, getting more overs under his belt."

The Man of the Match is Joe Root. "If we've got guys who can bowl a few overs then it's great. Nice to be able to do that in last few days. It's been nice to get a few runs, a good stepping stone towards the Champions Trophy. The South Africa series will be really good for us to be under some pressure."
