- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR130.2 Elgar has been dismissed for 199, and Markram in the dressing room has his hands on his head. Another anticlimactic end to another sparkling innings. Mustafiz bangs it short and outside off again. Replays suggest he had rolled his fingers across this one. Elgar can't get on top of the bounce. That's a weak pull that lobs to midwicket. Elgar was actually caught between pulling and leaving. He does not bit of both and sends a top edge to Mominul 445/354.2 No hundred on Test debut (at least in the first innings) for Markram. A horrible mix-up between the wickets. Elgar sinks to his knees. Markram is distraught. Mehidy pumps his fist and the Bangladesh fans celebrate in the stands. Tossed up just a shade outside off, Elgar opens the face and dabs it to the left of backward point. He takes a few paces down the pitch and calls for a run. Markram responds, and is nearly halfway down the pitch before turning back to undo his steps. Mominul swoops down on the ball and throws it to Mehidy who whips the bails off. The debutant is caught well short. Anticlimactic end to a solid, solid innings 196/1117.3 Finally, finally (in the Rock's voice) Bangladesh find the breakthrough! Yes, that's a W-I-C-K-E-T. What did they have for lunch? Back of a length and wide outside off - wider than a set of stumps outside off - Amla shuffles across off and flashes at this too. He hits it in the air and holes out to Mehidy Hasan Miraz at backward point. Wicket no. 70000 in Test cricket. Barely any celebrations from Shafiul 411/2Extras6 (lb 4, w 2)TOTAL496/3d (146 Overs, RR: 3.39)Fall of wickets: 1-196 (Aiden Markram, 54.2 ov), 2-411 (Hashim Amla, 117.3 ov), 3-445 (Dean Elgar, 130.2 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR10.2 outside edge, taken by Amla at first slip. Liton pays the price for reaching out for a delivery that is well outside his line. Should have really left that alone. Gets half-forward to a fuller length ball and gets a healthy edge that Amla takes easily 36/25.4 short ball does him in. South Africa have been fairly clear that this is how they are going to go against the Bangladesh openers. It's a sound strategy when the ball is hard and new. Short ball, banged in halfway down and forces Kayes back. He fails to get on top of it as the bounce is too steep. Gets a glove to second slip as he arches back and tries to keep it down 16/163.3 that's a bit of a soft dismissal. Huge blow for Bangladesh. Maharaj bowls a length ball and Mominul is caught between the front and back feet. Comes forward initially and then shifts back to turn it away into the leg side. To his horror, he watches the ball go straight into the hands of forward short leg where Markram takes an outstanding reflex catch 227/525.1 Maharaj had Rahim dropped twice off his bowling but he still finds a way past the Bangladesh captain. Bat-pad does it finally. This is the opposite of what happened during those drops. That one spun away; this one drifts in to get the inside edge to the back pad. Rahim was playing for the turn. Forward short leg snaffles it 103/345.3 Maiden Test wicket for Andile Phehlukwayo. Whoa! De Kock throws himself to his right and pulls off an incredible one-handed catch. He anticipated quickly, moving to his right before dishing out the full-length dive. Pretty full and angling down the leg side, Tamim does not get enough bat on the glance. He tickles a catch down the leg side. That it was a catch was down to de Kock's acrobatic effort. Tamim has been dismissed at the stroke of drinks 158/483.4 and a wicket first ball. And it's in the same manner as the last wicket with the old ball. Chopped on. It wasn't the bounce this time but the line. Morkel bowls it on a length and takes it away from the batsman. Mahmudullah tries to punch away from the body and gets an inside edge on to the stumps 304/780.1 that doesn't matter. They still find a wicket. Sabbir shifts back to this short of a length ball. But the delivery kicks off from that length, making the bounce a bit too disconcerting for Sabbir, who fails to get on top of it, and chops it on 292/686.2 not quite this time. The short stuff from Rabada continues. Mehedi can't get on top of it this time. Tries to counter it with a straight bat again bu this one bounces more, goes beyond the chest and pings the glove on its way to gully 308/984.1 is that a run out? Oh, yes! Brilliant fielding does it. Bavuma the man. Fuller ball outside off, Taskin pushes it out to backward point where Bavuma springs across, dives to his left, picks up the ball and great presence of mind from Markram. Makes sure to get around the stumps. Taskin is sent back and can't get anywhere close to the crease as the bails are taken off 305/889.1 all over. Maharaj seals the innings with an outside edge that is taken at first slip. Good, sharp catch by Amla as he moves his hands to his left and takes it without fuss. Loopy, sliding in on middle and off and straightens just enough as Shafiul plants the front foot forward and sticks the bat out 320/10Extras11 (b 1, lb 9, nb 1)TOTAL320 all out (89.1 Overs, RR: 3.58)Fall of wickets: 1-16 (Imrul Kayes, 5.4 ov), 2-36 (Litton Das, 10.2 ov), 3-103 (Mushfiqur Rahim, 25.1 ov), 4-158 (Tamim Iqbal, 45.3 ov), 5-227 (Mominul Haque, 63.3 ov), 6-292 (Sabbir Rahman, 80.1 ov), 7-304 (Mahmudullah, 83.4 ov), 8-305 (Taskin Ahmed, 84.1 ov), 9-308 (Mehidy Hasan Miraz, 86.2 ov), 10-320 (Shafiul Islam, 89.1 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR10.6 Mustafiz rolls his fingers across this full ball outside off. Whippy cutter, breaks away, 124ks, Markram chases a biiiiig drive. He did not pick the change-up. The debutant opener ends up snicking a drive behind to Liton 38/27.3 huge shout for leg before and given. Seemed close and the umpire Oxenford takes his time to give it. Short of good length ball, curves into Elgar late and beats his attempted flick to hit the pad. Height may be an issue here. No inside-edge. The height is perfectly alright. Hitting middle and leg well within the top part of the stumps. Elgar trudges off 30/120.1 Mustafiz has Amla nicking behind with a cutter. Breaks his wrists, finds grip, a fullish ball deviates sharply outside off. A crease-bound Amla chases it wide outside off and outside-edges to the right of Liton 70/350.6 Great anticipation from Liton Das behind the stumps. This is a belting catch down the leg side. Liton is being mobbed by his team-mates. Bavuma pre-meditates a paddle-sweep as this is floated up on middle stump. Liton moves to his left even before Bavuma makes contact with the ball, he sticks his left hand out and tumbles onto the ground. He holds his shape and ensures the ball does not bounce out. Bavuma has been asked to wait, but it's a clean catch 217/548.5 Faf has been given out lbw by umpire Chris Gaffaney. He challenges the on-field out decision. Did he thrust his pad outside the line? Round-arm dart, slides in and finishes on middle, Faf stretches forward for a sweep. He does not get any bat on ball. Struck on the front pad. Ultra Edge detects nothing. The tracker shows it would carry onto hit middle. Impact returns umpire's call. Faf falls for a breezy 81 212/452.3 Liton collects the ball down the leg side and swipes the bails off. Third wicket for Mominul. De Kock skips down the track but he is nowhere close to the pitch of the ball. This breaks down the leg side. The keeper, who had initially moved to his right, gloves the ball, and tumbles to his left to disturb the stumps 222/6Extras1 (nb 1)TOTAL247/6d (56 Overs, RR: 4.41)Fall of wickets: 1-30 (Dean Elgar, 7.3 ov), 2-38 (Aiden Markram, 10.6 ov), 3-70 (Hashim Amla, 20.1 ov), 4-212 (Faf du Plessis, 48.5 ov), 5-217 (Temba Bavuma, 50.6 ov), 6-222 (Quinton de Kock, 52.3 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR0.4 bowled him! Morkel strikes first over the chase and it's the big wicket of Tamim Iqbal. This is tremendous stuff from Morkel. Comes from really wide of the crease and angles it into Tamim. Tamim keeps his bat well inside expecting it to go with the arm outside off but the ball cuts in to shatter off-stump 0/115.3 that's a lovely delivery. Superb bowling from Maharaj. Finds the outside edge of Imrul with a length ball outside off. Imrul pokes and makes a late decision to keep the bat inside. The decision has come too late as the ball spins in slightly to find the outside edge 49/30.6 another shout for leg before, this time it looks closer and is given. The angle is into him again but Mominul does not bother reviewing. I think that's the right call because it would have been umpire's call if not for hitting leg stump on the full. Movement in the air, comes in sharply and Mominul is not entirely sure of this one and plays all across that one. Bangladesh two down without a run. Does this seem too familiar? 0/217.3 Mushfiq has been bounced out. Amla completes a sharp catch over his head at first slip. A lot of love between Faf and Amla in the cordon. Back of a length and bursts off the deck outside off, Mushfiq spars at it away from the body. The ball grazes the outside edge near the higher part of the bat and flies through to Amla. Great grab from him 55/421.5 Rabada strikes for the second time in three overs. Mahmudullah chops on for the second time in two innings. His middle stump is tiled back. Back of a length and speared outside off, Mahmudullah is caught in two minds: whether to punch it through cover or leave it. He eventually hangs his bat out and drags it back onto the stumps. Bangladesh five down for 62 62/523.3 Liton pads up to an inswinger, and he has been given out lbw. He calls for a review but this looks quite adjacent. Full and curves back in sharply to ping into the front pad as Liton offers no shot. It would have carried onto hit the leg stump. The tracker returns three reds. Liton has to go. Rabada has struck for the third time in four overs 67/624.2 Maharaj wins an lbw verdict from umpire Chris Gaffaney. That's plumb. Pushed through full and straight, Sabbir does not connect with a sweep and is hit on the back thigh in line with off and middle 67/726.5 slightly back of a length, stays back and tries to flick it. Plays all across the line as it pitches outside off and spins in sharply to hit him in front of middle and leg. Seems highly unlikely that it would miss the stumps but Taskin opts for a review.Replays confirm it would have hit leg stump on the full 71/827.6 length ball, angling in on off, punches it straight back and the bowler fails to gather it cleanly. Oh, and there's a run out. A needless one at that. The fielder runs back from mid-off and flicks it back. And the batsmen in the meantime decide they want to come back for a third. The throw is fired at the keeper's end and the bails are off before the batsman can be anywhere close to the stumps 75/932.4 Mustafiz chips a return catch. Maharaj sews up SA's 333-run victory. Lobbed up outside off and breaks back in from the rough, Mustafiz drives weakly and scoops it to the right of the bowler. Good overhead grab from Maharaj. Soft, soft dismissal.
