Match Centre

Scorer: Justin Smyth | Commentator: Justin Smyth

Hope that you'll join me next Wednesday and Thursday as the Interpros head back down to Cork as the Munster Reds take on the Northern Knights. Until then, this is Justin saying goodbye from Eglinton.

Both teams will get 2 points to add to their points tally for the year. The Knights extend their lead at the top of the table. With only 2 more rounds of games to go.

12.30pm The good news is that the rain has stopped, the bad news is that the Umpires have been out to have a look and the outfield is not going to be able to dry in time to even fit a 20 over game in today. What a shame. It means that the Match has been abandoned without a ball bowled.

10.45am Well if the rain hadn't been pounding the ground for hours this morning, we would have been getting started now. Sadly, the rain hasn't stopped since we got to the ground today, and looking at the forecast, doesn't look like there is going to be any breaks for the next hour or so. The Umpires have been out a couple of times inspecting and have brought lunch forward to 12.30pm. I'll update when I know more.

There has been a fair bit of overnight rain and it's still raining now. How disappointing. The weather is due to improve over the day, so it's a matter of waiting and seeing what's going to be happening. It's definitely going to be a delayed start.

It's been three wins from three for the Knights this season, and three bonus point wins too. They have been dominant and sit five points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand, their championship to lose you'd expect. The experienced Ruhan Pretorius has been the class act with the bat in the competition this year, 172 runs and averaging 86. The Knights will want to see more of this today.

It's been a campaign to forget for the Warriors, the only points that they have picked up this year was in the washout against the Leinster Lightning. It's been the batting that has let them down again this year, and it won't help that they are going to be without Stephen Doheny who is suspended for today's game. Kian Hilton will take over the gloves behind the stumps.

Welcome back to Eglinton! After yesterdays IP20 game, the North-West Warriors and the Northern Knights are back this morning for the IP50. It's top versus bottom, the reigning champs vs a team that needs a win. What a fascinating game that we have ahead of us today. My name is Justin Smyth and I'll be bringing you all the action from the middle here on ESPNCricinfo. Will it be as exciting as the IP20 game yesterday, time will tell.
