Well is might have been a bit of a grind, but the Reds managed to fight their way to the target. Based on the partnership between Andrianatos and Frost, they battled hard in not easy batting conditions. Once the Knights managed to get the breakthrough, there was a flurry of late Reds wickets, but Metcalfe finished it off in style with a big hit over cow corner as the rain started falling down heavier. Not sure that the Knights could have done any more with the ball then they did, but they just didn't have enough runs on the board to defend. Adair did pick up three late wickets in his two overs, but the Reds were too near the target then It has meant that by picking up four points for the win, that the Reds are now only four points behind the Knights in the IP50 championship. This is all going to be decided on the final round of games. Liam McCarthy has just been named the player of the match Thanks for following along over the past couple of days. Hope that you've enjoyed it. Next Wednesday we are back in Dublin for some more IP20 action. Please join me then. This is Justin saying goodbye from Cork for the final time this season
