16.2 gone! Again that line wide of off stump, and it isn't full enough for the drive. A bit of drift away from Vijay, who ends up playing inside the line of an offbreak and gets an outside edge to slip 30/1

28.5 huge appeal, and it's given! After that one that gripped and turned sharply, this one keeps going with the angle, and hits Dhawan's front pad as he presses half-forward in defence. Lovely length, catches Dhawan playing with bat slightly behind pad. Hits pad before bat and the ball hit him in line with middle and off and was going on to hit middle stump. Very impressive bowling, this. 62/2

29.6 bowled him! Pujara came forward to defend this fullish ball, which came in just a touch off the pitch. He tends to have just the tiniest gap between bat and pad, and this ball sneaks through off the inside edge and takes out his off stump. More than anything, he was just a touch slow getting forward, still on the move when the ball hit his inside edge. Hadn't gotten sufficiently forward enough to narrow the angle 66/3
46.6 that's an unfortunate dismissal. Kohli sweeps from middle and leg, hits it firmly, that was headed to the boundary, but Bavuma was in the way at short leg. Hit him on the thigh, as he leaped and spun around to avoid the ball, and popped up in the air. Vilas was quick to react, moved quickly from behind the stumps and dived forward on the pitch to catch it with both gloves, a fair distance above the ground. Superbly done by the keeper 136/4
104.5 caught at cover! Tahir has a wicket! Rahane walks off to warm applause from the Kotla. He reached away from his body to drive a flighted googly on the front foot and spooned an easy catch to AB at cover. A pretty soft dismissal to end a marvelous innings 296/8
50.1 flighted ball on off stump, and that is a shocker of a shot. Goes for the big hit, with long-on back on the rope, and hits it straight down the fielder's throat. Maybe he was trying to hit it wider, over midwicket, maybe, but the ball didn't turn as much as he expected, but in any case, it seemed the oddest time to be playing such a shot. They check for no-ball, and it's close, but the close-up suggests some part of his heel - which is in the air - is just behind the line. Millimeters again. 138/5
53.5 bowled him! Another one plays on. This was pitched on a good length, in the corridor, and came back just a touch. Saha played away from his body, looking to drive, and he only manages to help it onto his stumps off his inside edge 139/6
72.4 fullish on off stump, and Jadeja picks out the man at short midwicket! Came down the track and looked to clip into the leg side. Ended up playing it uppishly and Elgar takes an excellent catch diving to his right 198/7
117.3 caught at midwicket! AB makes it looks easy. Ashwin tried to pull again but this short ball was quicker and hurried Ashwin outside off stump. The bat turned as he made contact, splicing the ball high into the air. AB ran backwards and to his right from midwicket, covering ground quickly to settle under the catch 334/9

117.5 Abbott has five! The full ball swings into the right-hander, crashing into the back pad as Ishant was rooted deep in his crease. That's plumb. Abbott can be proud of this performance, 5 for 40 in 24.5 overs. He's staked a claim for a spot even when Philander and Steyn are fit 334/10

14.3 The full ball reaps reward now; Umesh strikes. This was a bit wider and curls away outside off at 142.2ks, Elgar was stuck to the crease as he pushed out and nicked off. Saha takes a smart, low catch. Elgar is distraught as he walks back 36/1

19.6 that was always likely to happen with the way Bavuma has been playing. He stays back in his crease and doesn't move his feet, exposing off and middle stump to Jadeja's accurate line and length. The ball pitches on a good length just outside off and skids on with the arm. Bavuma pokes tentatively and is beaten on the inside edge and bowled 40/2
25.6 he's been caught behind! Amla's walking. He went back to cut a ball that was not too short and close to off stump, spinning away. There's a definite edge and Amla fails again. Such a poor tour he's having. 56/3
46.6 what a catch from Ishant on the long-off boundary to dismiss AB, Jadeja has a five-for! Superbly judged under the circumstances in the fading light. AB charged the bowler and lofted the ball, he seemed to slice it rather than hit it cleanly. Ishant positioned himself on the long off boundary, only a few feet from the rope, and then reached behind him and to his left to grab the ball as it descended. He managed to stay balanced inside the boundary too 118/9
27.6 caught down the leg side! Great anticipation from Rahane. He was moving towards the leg side as soon as Faf shaped to play the paddle-scoop. The ball simply lobbed tamely towards where a leg slip would have been, Rahane had got there from conventional slip instead 62/4
30.6 bowled him! The stumps have been shattered. AB watches another team-mate fail. Umesh hits a good length on off stump and instead of the ball angling into the left hander from around the wicket, it straightens. That movement causes Duminy to defend down the wrong line. The ball beats the outside edge and hits the top of off stump. Terrific delivery 65/5
36.4 off stump has taken a hammering! Ishant Sharma bowls with an upright seam, hits a good length, swings the ball into the right-hander, bursting through the gap between bat and pad as Vilas is late in bringing his bat down while defending from his crease 79/6
37.5 lbw! Ashwin finally has one as well. Abbott went on the back foot this time to a ball that pitched just outside off and went straight on with the arm. He tried to defend but missed and was hit plumb in front 84/7
42.5 caught at slip! Piedt drives away from his body at a flighted ball that spins sharply away from him, the edge travels quickly at chest height to Rahane, who is so safe at first slip 103/8

4.6 what a ball that is, and Vijay has been given caught behind! Vicious bouncer from Morkel, and Vijay is not pleased at all, indicating it came off the arm guard. He could get in trouble for that. That ball rose steeply from short of a length at Vijay's head. He was late in ducking and left his arms high as he tried to get under the ball. The ball grazed the armguard and flew through to Vilas, who leapt high in the air to take the catch with one hand over his head 4/1

28.6 bowled him! Morkel has bowled so well today and he has his third wicket with a searing yorker from around the wicket. That ball just homed in on Dhawan's toes and he got them out of the way in time but failed to bring his bat down quickly enough to keep the ball out. It burst under his bat and hit leg stump. That yorker came out of the blue really, haven't seen it often in this match. It swung it quite a bit too. 53/3
6.1 bowled him first ball! Terrific delivery from Morkel and it has taken out off stump. He's on a hat-trick. Morkel pitched the ball on a good length on off stump. Rohit prodded from his crease with no real footwork. He played for the angle into him but the ball held its line to zip past the outside edge and flatten off stump. That is a hard ball to face first up. 8/2
31.1 Tahir sets off for a celebratory run after knocking out the off stump! Pujara looks a bit shocked at what's happened. Tahir bowled the ball flat and quick around off and middle stump. Pujara should have been forward because the ball was rather full. Instead he played right back and was beaten. It didn't turn too much and he played down the wrong line. That legbreak skidded through so quickly that Pujara barely played it. It's the fastest ball Tahir has bowled - 94kph 57/4

85.4 Kohli has been done in by one that kept really low! He'll have to wait another day for his 3000th Test run. Abbott bowled one on a good length and straight, angling into the right-hander from just outside off, Kohli moved across to play on the leg side but was hit low on the front pad - shin height - by one that shot through. A really difficult ball to handle, the only chance Kohli had was if he was playing straight. He's played a wonderful innings for India. 211/5

3.6 caught at slip! Ashwin strikes with the new ball. Elgar stays in his crease, and drives forward at a flighted ball that drifts into him from around the wicket, pitches on middle and spins away sharply from the left-hander. 42.4 bowled him! Bavuma has lost his off stump. Muted celebrations from India, but isn't that a superb ball from Ashwin? Lovely flight outside off stump, drifts into the right-hander and then straightens past the outside edge of Bavuma's back-foot defence. After lots of blocking, he's undone again because he leaves his off stump exposed while defending from the crease. He's played really well though, considering he was opening for the first time in this Test 49/2

84.5 LOOK AT THOSE CELEBRATIONS! India cannot believe it and there is a outburst of joy as Jadeja goes off on a celebratory run. The Kotla erupts too after a terrific delivery bowls Amla. The ball drifted into the right-hander from around the wicket, and Amla pushed forward to defend on a middle stump line. He was not to the pitch of the delivery which gave the ball time to grip and spin off the pitch, turning and bouncing past the outside edge to hit the top of off stump. And now his watch has ended. 76/3
139.1 he's got him! He's got AB, that has to be the game. AB's defence has been broken by a sharp, spinning and bouncing offbreak. That ball spat, viciously from a good length, rearing up at AB who had moved across his crease to defend. It pinged off those battered gloves and popped up to leg slip. Ecstasy for India. AB falls off his 297th delivery 136/7
119.6 LBW! Faf has to go and that looked pretty plumb at first glance. Faf would have watched those deliveries spin sharply away and so he pushes forward tentatively in defence. That ball did not turn. It slid on with the arm and hit him in front of middle. Gone. They are checking the no-ball but the foot is fine. 111/4
124.2 LBW! That is plumb, AB watches the resistance crumble. Duminy goes back and across and is hit in front of middle and leg. That would have gone on to clip leg stump. Not as plumb as I thought on first glance but out enough. That ball kept a bit low 112/5
138.5 bowled him! Vilas has played on. Umesh bowls the offcutter, jagging back at the right-hander from outside off, Vilas is late in bringing his bat down and when he does he can only edge it on to the stumps 136/6
140.6 the stump has been broken. That ball is unplayable. Full, fast, swinging in late. Sensational reverse swing. Abbott has no chance as he pokes from his crease without protecting his stumps. That ball swerves past the inside edge and hits leg stump so hard that it cracks 140/8
142.5 what a sensational catch from Saha! He's been incredible behind the stumps on a tough pitch and this is the icing on his cake. Umesh hit the pitch short of a length and swerved the ball in at Piedt, who began to push at the ball before trying to pull his bat away. The ball followed him at around chest height and deflected off the face of the bat. Saha was almost going towards his left when he changed direction and leapt to his right, catching that ball with one hand in front of first slip. 143/9
143.1 bowled him! Ashwin has taken the final wicket, fittingly, to complete a five-for! Huge celebrations break out in the middle and in the stumps. Morkel left the ball go outside off but it did not spin away, it went on with the arm from around the wicket and clipped off stump 143/10
