The trophy has been handed to South Africa on the back of two excellent, all-round performances. The focus shifts to the ODIs now, which begins on Friday. Hope to have your company then. This is Alagappan Muthu, signing off

Faf du Plessis is the Man of the Series. "They were much better in putting up a fight. Our boys played a great two match series. In tough conditions, we batted really well and we bowled really well too. Banana on the outfield for Kyle Abbott. At the end of the day, they don't make mistakes on purpose. We're practicing hard. It's extremely humid. AB's face was about to explode in the heat. We need to battle longer now. In the ODs and the Tests. They've done really well in one-day cricket. But its important for us that we have put our own statement out by winning this 2-0. We respect them, and we'll play our best cricket"

"There are some positives. And we have to learn from our mistakes too," Mashrafe says, "It was an off day as a fielding ground. So hopefully we'll come back in the one-dayers. [Temperement] After the start, we lost too many wickets. But we haven't played too many T20s recently. Not an excuse. We just have to improve. We've just been concentrating on ODIs and Tests. As a professional team though, we have to come and perform. We have to fight. We couldn't fight here at all. Hopefully that changes"

4.00 pm Eddie Leie, on South Africa debut, is Man of the Match. "very pleased. Very good start. But hte credit goes to the batters. the way AB and Quinton started and the way Rilee and MIller finished set the bowlers up. I just thought I had to keep it simple and hit my lengths. With the humidity, it was hard to grip the ball. Just tried to keep it wicket to wicket. It's great. It's an environment everyone wants to be in. Just very happy to be around such great players"

3.50 pm A pretty thorough performance from the visitors again and their reputation against spin, and in bowling spin keeps growing. They've found another pleasing legspinner in Eddie Leie, who trusts in flighting the ball and using his googlies. Big smiles from Phangiso as well, who was quite effective despite Bangladesh having a lot of left-handers. Then the fast bowlers came back to mop up the tail. Good old fashioned cricket.

Mashrafe Mortaza wanted his batsmen to show better application, but today his team was sloppy in the field and that's more the reason why they lost. There were too many runs to chase down on this slow pitch. The only time they threatened was when Soumya Sarkar was playing like a dream. He's one to watch out for in the future. Times the pants off the ball. He'll need to play longer innings now. Has to convert his promise

Prushanta: "In the end, the AB-DeKock start made all the difference..."

Abhijit Naik: "MEN of the match: AB, de kock, Leie, Phangiso, and Russow. #HuntingInPacks"

James: "Nice to see the death over yorker is not an endangered species! Best ever at it, i think was Big Bird Joel Garner. Wonder how he'd have fared in modern day T20? Pretty well, i suspect." --- Oh Waqar has to be stiff competition

Abbott to Mustafizur Rahman, OUT, off stump uprooted! South Africa win the series. Abbott has made a strong claim to be a permanent fixture in South Africa's attack. Mustafizur looks to slap it through the covers, too good for him

Mustafizur Rahman b Abbott 0 (1m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Abbott to Mustafizur Rahman, 1 wide, bouncer to greet Mustafizur. Another great delivery, dug in quite short an directed at the batsman's helmet. The pull is more like an evasive action and is well beaten

W
Abbott to Rony Talukdar, OUT, his yorkers are quite something. Tinged in with deadly reverse swing. This one began outside off, then veers in looking for the base off stump. Rony realises the threat too late. Tries to save himself. But this is too good a ball to be denied a wicket

Rony Talukdar b Abbott 21 (34m 22b 0x4 1x6) SR: 95.45

Abbott to Mashrafe Mortaza, OUT, bang! Saw Mashrafe moving outside leg to scoop, Abbott makes that impossible with a leg-stump yorker that hits its mark

1
Abbott to Rony Talukdar, 1 run, ooh, he's dropped it. Did well to dig the ball in and swindle the batsman of his timing. Poor shot, going for the pull off the front foot when there was no room. His the splice and goes back to the bowler, who gets only his finger tips to it. Came back a little slower than he thought, I think

Abbott's back

Kiran: "Irony is, with all those heroics, the RRR stil went up in 17th over"

Phangiso to Mashrafe Mortaza, no run, saw Mash coming down again and bowled it full and wide. Tall man the Bangladesh captain, so he manages to reach it and smear it to cover

Phangiso to Mashrafe Mortaza, 1 run, slugs it to deep midwicket. Phangiso does well to slow the ball down and toss it wide of off stump. Brave spin bowling

Phangiso to Rony Talukdar, 1 run, goes back to a good length ball on middle and leg and tucks it through midwicket

Stiaan: "Unfortunately for SA, these spinners are more or less limited over specialists, so the hunt for a quality test spinner must continue..."
