Plunkett got this right up there, Mathews' concentration maybe wandered briefly after getting his ton - no bat on it, the second sound was it hitting both pads. Hawk-Eye says it would have clipped leg stump and that is enough to uphold the in-field call and end Mathews' stay 442/9

Jordan caught him with another short ball, hit Pradeep on the shoulder and he collapsed awkwardly, his weight pushing the bat on to the wicket as he fell. Some people won't like it but tailenders have to deal with bouncers these days - that was an example of how not to do it 453/10

Superb bowling from Herath, mixing up his angle, pace and flight, this caught Root on the crease and turned just enough, skidded into the back pad and no doubt about where it was going. Root could have been forward but he was done by a lovely bit of bowling 98/4
