- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR6.1 chopped on, Cook has done for himself! Wasn't quite wide enough to cut, maybe didn't swing as much as some of Kulasekara's deliveries this morning, the batsman got a little cramped and the ball cannoned down on to off stump. Sri Lanka are whooping it up, they have both openers in the hutch and Lord's is a basket of nerves... 22/23.6 full again, draws the stroke and got him! Prasanna doesn't drop this one, silence echoes around Lord's as Robson's debut innings comes to a swift end... Decent delivery from Pradeep, just held its line on the slope from the Nursery End, was wide enough to leave, though. Good diving take from PJ, by the way, no clash of cymbals this time 14/118.5 pitched up, draws a flat-footed drive and Sri Lanka have another! Pradeep lands one on the money and Ballance pays out, wasn't to the pitch and a healthy edge sailed through low to the keeper 74/328.2 full and angled in, strikes the pad and a huge cry for lbw, not out given but Sri Lanka don't hesitate too much before reviewing. No bat involved, it looks close, is it too high? No it isn't, Hawk Eye has the delivery going on to take the top of middle stump, a very good review and they've taken a big wicket, England checked yet again 120/458.2 tossed up just outside off and Moeen takes a huge swing at it and edges to first slip. A pretty ugly shot, a bit of a wild hack aiming down the ground. His previous aggressive stroke against Herath was a well-timed slog sweep but there was no footwork here, playing away from his body and he nicks a straightforward catch to slip 209/597.6 another short one and this time it works with Prior fending off a throat ball which he pops up to short leg. And the leg theory finally pays dividends for Sri Lanka. They've worked away at that line for the past 20 minutes and now they find a wicket, Eranga right on the money at decent pace, Prior got in a tangle and presented a simple chance to short leg 380/6101.6 short ball and Jordan gets it wrong trying to turn it to leg and pops a catch up to the keeper. They check the new ball but Eranga has a millimetre of boot behind the popping crease. So the short ball works again, Jordan getting into a muddle trying to flick this to the leg side and it came off the splice of the bat for an easy catch to Jayawardene 402/7111.3 good length ball, Broad tries to swing it leg side but doesn't get it right this time and picks out deep midwicket it was straight to the fielder, Broad picking out the man easily about 10 yards in from the rope but that is a fine innings from Broad with some very attractive strokes 466/8125.3 the short ball does it again, Plunkett miscuing a pull shot! He wasn't going to let another one through, swung across the line but hit high up the bat and only managed to loop a straightforward catch to midwicket 547/9Extras30 (b 12, lb 12, nb 6)TOTAL575/9d (130.3 Overs, RR: 4.4, 593 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-14 (Sam Robson, 3.6 ov), 2-22 (Alastair Cook, 6.1 ov), 3-74 (Gary Ballance, 18.5 ov), 4-120 (Ian Bell, 28.2 ov), 5-209 (Moeen Ali, 58.2 ov), 6-380 (Matt Prior, 97.6 ov), 7-402 (Chris Jordan, 101.6 ov), 8-466 (Stuart Broad, 111.3 ov), 9-547 (Liam Plunkett, 125.3 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR12.3 pitched up, on the drive and gone, feathering through to Prior! Jordan strikes with his third ball in Tests, fired across the left-hander who didn't get close enough to the pitch, driving half forward and a thin edge flies through low to the keeper. Run-a-ball 38 from Karunaratne, though this is pitch for far bigger returns. Jordan is off and running, in every sense, England have their breakthrough 54/148.2 caught behind! That's a big-effort delivery from Anderson. He had Silva in some trouble with the short ball in the previous over and this time he's got him. The bouncer was well targeted, forcing Silva to duck in a hurry. He forgot to lower his bat, though, and the ball grazed it on its way through to Prior 151/2109.6 Mooen Ali gets his first Test wicket, and they aren't too many which are more valuable than this man's, Moeen tosses the ball up, well wide of off stump, Sangakkara wants to cut that through point but he can only get a top edge as the ball turns away, Prior takes the catch and a sumptuous innings from Sangakkara comes to an end, 147 for him, but he wanted even more 385/581.4 lbw! Mahela reviews immediately. Was there an inside edge? Replays show it missed the inside edge comfortably. The ball has hit the front pad just below the knee roll and then gone on to hit the back pad. That's absolutely plumb. A waste of a review. Mahela was caught on the crease defending, as the good length ball nipped back into him from outside off this time, the previous two had moved away. 277/386.6 caught at midwicket! A soft dismissal. Anderson delivered on a length, pitching outside leg and finishing on the left-hander's pads. Thirimanne flicked in the air and straight to Robson at midwicket, he caught it at head height. Thirimanne didn't commit to the flick, sort of checked his shot and ended up hitting it tamely 289/4135.4 Plunkett slips in an attempted yorker and Mathews misses it, given lbw! He was stuck back in the crease, maybe beaten for pace, though he understandably asks for the review, possibility of some bat involved... Plunkett got this right up there, Mathews' concentration maybe wandered briefly after getting his ton - no bat on it, the second sound was it hitting both pads. Hawk-Eye says it would have clipped leg stump and that is enough to uphold the in-field call and end Mathews' stay 442/9116.1 Plunkett gets the wicket of Prasanna, actually the credit should go to Ian Bell, Plunkett slides it down the leg side, Prasanna goes for the glance, connects well, but the ball flies towards Bell at leg slip, Bell had to react rapidly, he does , and grabs on to that chance 400/6121.6 beauty from Jordan, gets the wicket of Kulasekara, it isn't the shock tactic of short balls that gets the breakthrough, this one holds it line after Jordan angles it in, gets the outside edge anda regulation catch for Prior 413/7130.5 oh, got him, bowled neck and crop! Well, it's taken England a while but after working out Herath could cope with being bounced, Anderson tried to hit his toes instead, pitched up and Herath was not looking for that one, late in bringing the bat down as middle stump was detonated. Quick, full and straight, does the job 430/8138.4 Pradeep demolishes his own stumps! That looked painful, though he's helped up and seems to be okay... Jordan caught him with another short ball, hit Pradeep on the shoulder and he collapsed awkwardly, his weight pushing the bat on to the wicket as he fell. Some people won't like it but tailenders have to deal with bouncers these days - that was an example of how not to do it 453/10Extras20 (b 7, lb 5, nb 2, w 6)TOTAL453 all out (138.4 Overs, RR: 3.26, 631 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-54 (Dimuth Karunaratne, 12.3 ov), 2-151 (Kaushal Silva, 48.2 ov), 3-277 (Mahela Jayawardene, 81.4 ov), 4-289 (Lahiru Thirimanne, 86.6 ov), 5-385 (Kumar Sangakkara, 109.6 ov), 6-400 (Prasanna Jayawardene, 116.1 ov), 7-413 (Nuwan Kulasekara, 121.6 ov), 8-430 (Rangana Herath, 130.5 ov), 9-442 (Angelo Mathews, 135.4 ov), 10-453 (Nuwan Pradeep, 138.4 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR15.5 full length, Robson forward just outside off and nicks it onto off stump. Nice delivery, just nipped in a little to take the inside edge which cannoned flush into the off pole. Robson was a little unsure with his footwork and was slightly late on the stroke 51/213.2 full delivery, Cook drives at it just outside off and nicks it to the keeper. Cook walks off straight away, I'm not sure if Paul Reiffel would have given it but the Sri Lankans were convinced and Cook knew he hit it. A full ball just outside off left him slightly to take a thin outside edge, low catch for the keeper 46/119.4 full delivery, this time Bell comes forward to drive at this time and nicks it onto off stump! A third strike for Sri Lanka and England now under a bit of pressure. A lovely delivery, like the ball to dismiss Robson, has just nipped in off the seam to take the inside edge into the off stick. Very nicely done drawing Bell into finally driving 69/326.6 straightens on the stumps, Root is beaten and can only jab his leg out to prevent the crash of ash - that's not fooling Billy and up goes the crooked finger! Superb bowling from Herath, mixing up his angle, pace and flight, this caught Root on the crease and turned just enough, skidded into the back pad and no doubt about where it was going. Root could have been forward but he was done by a lovely bit of bowling 98/428.2 and bowled him, Herath has the final word! Look at that celebration, down on one knee, fist pumped, roaring a mixture of defiance and delight! Herath tossed it up again, spinning out of the footmarks and past Moeen's loose drive, into the woodwork. His team-mates can barely move him as he gives Moeen the eyes. What a response to that previous ball and what a session this is turning into for Sri Lanka 102/537.2 length ball two feet wide of off stump, Prior guides it...straight to gully! Catching practise for the fielder taking it at knee height, a solid claim but a dreadful misjudgement from Prior, a very soft dismissal and that is a bad wicket to lose so soon after tea. Prior couldn't have picked out the fielder any better 121/659.2 continues over the wicket, floated up outside leg... and Jordan miscues to mid-off via a leading edge! A decent knock from Jordan is ended, the ball spinning as he tried to play across the line, Sangakkara took it stooping forward. That probably removes the declaration from the equation 199/766.4 pushes forward and Broad returns this straight to sender, Herath tumbling over to his left to complete the dismissal! Wasn't quite to the pitch and just popped it back to the bowler. Herath has four, will he get on the honours board before Ballance? 256/8Extras11 (b 3, lb 4, nb 2, w 2)TOTAL267/8d (69 Overs, RR: 3.86, 309 minutes)Did not bat: JM AndersonFall of wickets: 1-46 (Alastair Cook, 13.2 ov), 2-51 (Sam Robson, 15.5 ov), 3-69 (Ian Bell, 19.4 ov), 4-98 (Joe Root, 26.6 ov), 5-102 (Moeen Ali, 28.2 ov), 6-121 (Matt Prior, 37.2 ov), 7-199 (Chris Jordan, 59.2 ov), 8-256 (Stuart Broad, 66.4 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR7.1 short ball and Karunaratne pats it to short leg! That is gift-wrapped, England have their first in the hutch, Broad using his extra bounce to good effect. Karunaratne didn't play it very well, off the face then on to his body and straight into Sam Robson's breadbasket. Another flashy failure for Dimuth 25/142.1 length down the leg side, a touch to the keeper and there's a big appeal for caught behind, not out given but England are convinced and go straight for the review which is obvious that it came off the gloves and Silva is gone. His hands were well away from his body and we don't even need the mark on Hot Spot to confirm that is out, smart catch from Prior 123/258.1 length ball just outside off, shapes in a little and Sangakkara chops it on! Huge wicket for England, that's the one they wanted. Sangakkara sat back to play through the off side but got cramped with the ball angled in to him and got a thick edge into the base of leg stump, no famous century for Sangakkara who walks off Lord's for the final time 169/454.4 probing outside off - and Jayawardene nicks one! Don't need slips for those, rare misjudgement from Mahela, played in corridor when he could have left, possibly a hint of reverse away from the bat and it just scraped the edge, Prior gulped the chance. A chink of light for England 159/358.5 length delivery, Thirimanne forward, gets a thick outside edge and it's taken by second slip! Two in an over for Anderson, this just went away from the left-hander, it bounced a little too, to take the edge and Jordan took a solid catch 170/586.6 oh, Mathews has nicked one, straight to Cook! Tumult engulfs Lord's, Mathews hangs his head, the ball shaped back down the hill, was perhaps wide enough he could have left but it pinged off the edge. England have dislodged the biggest, soundest brick in the wall - they'll have 18 deliveries to get two tail-end wickets! 201/878.6 full and straight and PJ is trapped in front... Bowden shakes his head but England review straight away, they have to really, especially as they get topped up again in a couple of overs. Think there might have been a sound, if not, this is plumb... The bat clunked into the ground but missed the ball, this is going to be out, Hawk-Eye has it hitting leg stump a third of the way up! All the short stuff had crammed Prasanna right back in the crease and he was beaten by a fast full-bunger 194/683.2 got him, another lbw, the full delivery does it! Broad goes tearing off, England are battering away at the door... Reiffel didn't think long about this, Kulasekara propped forward hopefully, not sure what was coming, the ball nipped back off the seam and thumped into the front pad. Hawk-Eye says it would have clipped leg, though it looked a look closer than that in real time 199/789.1 goes for the bouncer and it's sliding to leg, Herath got some glove on it... and he walks! Prior took the catch tumbling to his right, Reiffel nods and raises a finger but - wait for it - replays show Herath had removed his hand from the bat handle before contact was made! Why did Herath not review?! He wasn't out but he is out and now England only require one more wicket to complete a sensational win! 201/9Extras19 (b 11, lb 7, nb 1)TOTAL201/9 (90 Overs, RR: 2.23, 405 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-25 (Dimuth Karunaratne, 7.1 ov), 2-123 (Kaushal Silva, 42.1 ov), 3-159 (Mahela Jayawardene, 54.4 ov), 4-169 (Kumar Sangakkara, 58.1 ov), 5-170 (Lahiru Thirimanne, 58.5 ov), 6-194 (Prasanna Jayawardene, 78.6 ov), 7-199 (Nuwan Kulasekara, 83.2 ov), 8-201 (Angelo Mathews, 86.6 ov), 9-201 (Rangana Herath, 89.1 ov)
