- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR20.2 similar delivery but this swings a bit more as Karunaratne drove at it and cleans him up! The change works, that swung in a long way, darted between bat and pad and knocked out leg stump, a joy of a delivery for the bowler and a second strike for England 56/214.4 through him again... and this time with a fatal tickle! Silva hangs around, in two minds about reviewing, it was only a faint snick - but eventually he drags himself off. England finally strike lucky in the channel outside off, this didn't do much off the pitch and maybe that was the key, an audible tick as it whizzed through... though Hot Spot didn't seem to pick it up. Snicko picks up the fingerprints, though 37/162.6 Sanga falls to a blinder of a catch at gully! Bell went to his left and got two hands to it, Sanga having thrown the hands through another drive... Perhaps he thought he was invincible, after all that had gone before, didn't need to chase that ball but the runs were flowing and the living was easy. And now he's back in the dressing room 228/637.2 edged and taken, superb one-handed catch at second slip! Nonchalant from Jordan, thrust out a paw to take a low edge and Plunkett is rewarded, Mahela taking the bullet for his mate Kumar. This was pitched up and inviting the drive, Jayawardene just wasn't quite forward enough 108/337.3 dug in short and fended straight to short leg, gone first ball! Plunkett has wickets with consecutive deliveries - we won't be seeing Anderson after all. Inspired stuff from Plunkett, Thirimanne could see this zeroing in between his eyeballs, threw up the gloves and it plopped off the handle straight to a gleeful Robson 108/448.3 good length on the off stump, poked at from the crease and nicks it to third slip! Solid low catch by Ballance for his first Test catch. Anderson has been in that fourth-stump area all day and here gets Mathews playing with hard hands just outside off, a little away wobble takes a thick outside edge and it carried low to the fielder's left boot 161/564.1 pitched up, draws the stroke and steered to slip! England have removed three in eight balls, Chandimal drawn an ill-judged drive, wasn't there for the shot and it just seamed a touch, thick edge straight to Cook 229/863.4 banged in and gloved through, another one gone! Plunkett gets his fourth, a sharp bouncer and Prasad saw his life flash before his eyes almost as quickly as the ball arrived, fended at it and the ball looped up for Prior to take above his head 229/764.2 he's got it, edged through to Prior! Broad has a hat-trick spread over two overs! Broad hasn't realised, in fact, it looks as if the fact has passed everyone by... but Broad has three in three, Sanga with the last ball of the previous over, then two edges in two balls 229/969.5 got him, shortish and fenced through to the keeper - five-for for Plunkett on his home ground! The move to Yorkshire from Durham has transformed his career and those are Test-best figures for Plunkett, finally dislodging Pradeep after a brief flurry 257/10Extras17 (b 8, lb 7, w 2)TOTAL257 all out (69.5 Overs, RR: 3.68, 314 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-37 (Kaushal Silva, 14.4 ov), 2-56 (Dimuth Karunaratne, 20.2 ov), 3-108 (Mahela Jayawardene, 37.2 ov), 4-108 (Lahiru Thirimanne, 37.3 ov), 5-161 (Angelo Mathews, 48.3 ov), 6-228 (Kumar Sangakkara, 62.6 ov), 7-229 (Dhammika Prasad, 63.4 ov), 8-229 (Dinesh Chandimal, 64.1 ov), 9-229 (Shaminda Eranga, 64.2 ov), 10-257 (Nuwan Pradeep, 69.5 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR18.1 in the channel, Cook pushes forward... and nicks to first slip! SL have their man and Cook's rough run continues, his indecision around off stump reaching a critical level. Didn't need to play at this but was drawn out by the fuller length, just a familiar, indeterminate prod and a healthy deflection went low and conclusively into Sangakkara's hands this time 49/186.3 bowled him, Robson beaten at last! There's that technical issue around off stump, though he won't mind it being exposed after 120-odd runs... Pradeep got this to duck back a fraction, loose drive from Robson, bottom hand off the bat and the top of off pegged back 278/367.3 length ball sliding across the left-hander, Ballance plays forward to it and edges behind. I mentioned Sri Lanka needed a wicket from somewhere and the skipper has found it, a pretty innocuous delivery that Ballance has felt for slightly and got a thin edge on through to the keeper 191/295.6 length ball down the leg side, Bell flicks at and gets a touch to the keeper desperately unlucky really, a poor ball drifting down leg, Bell looked to touch it away but got a thin nick to Chandimal, solid catch to his left, and up went the finger. No dream century for Bell in his 100th Test - not in this innings anyway 311/496.4 similar line, this time Root comes out to play and nicks it behind! A double strike for Sri Lanka. Mathews with a nice delivery in a good area, Root came forward and couldn't resist having a nudge at it and it glances off the face of the bat really to Chandimal. Poor judgement from Root, no need to defend square of the wicket 311/599.5 full and wide and this time Moeen reaches out to drive it and nicks it behind! Moeen loses his composure, leans out for a cover drive to a fuller ball and got a thin edge to Chandimal, who's taken his third catch in no time at all, Sri Lanka coming back nicely here 313/6109.3 edged and gone, taken smartly at second slip! Diving catch by Jaywardene, took it from in front of Sanga at first slip but made sure he clung on. Eranga has his reward and Jordan doesn't add too many after his life, he wasn't comfortable with that line, lured into driving at a full one again, thick deflection and it went quickly to the cordon 338/7110.3 Mathews strikes, Broad caught in the gully! Good bounce and carry off a length ball, fair flew off the outside edge as Broad pressed forwards... Mathews doing okay for a 75mph trundler, he now has his best Test bowling figures 344/8112.5 goes wide on the crease, sharks back menacingly on off a length - bowled him! That seemed to go miles, practically cut Plunkett in half as he tried to get his bat down belatedly. Super delivery, just about on a length but homing back like it was magnetised to decapitate middle stump. Mathews has a four-for! 350/9115.5 banged in, at the throat and Anderson fends it up in the air, back to the bowler - and that will be that! Memories of that torrid winter in Australia for Anderson, bodyline attack and he doesn't want to hang around being peppered at his time of life. In fact, he'd much prefer to come out and bowl on this pitch, with England leading by 108 runs 365/10Extras18 (lb 2, nb 13, w 3)TOTAL365 all out (115.5 Overs, RR: 3.15, 517 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-49 (Alastair Cook, 18.1 ov), 2-191 (Gary Ballance, 67.3 ov), 3-278 (Sam Robson, 86.3 ov), 4-311 (Ian Bell, 95.6 ov), 5-311 (Joe Root, 96.4 ov), 6-313 (Moeen Ali, 99.5 ov), 7-338 (Chris Jordan, 109.3 ov), 8-344 (Stuart Broad, 110.3 ov), 9-350 (Liam Plunkett, 112.5 ov), 10-365 (James Anderson, 115.5 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR34.4 given! Caught down the leg side, but we have a review. Is he checking to see if his hand was on the bat? Learning from Herath in previous Test. But doesn't appear he'll escape. The bottom hand, where the ball flicked the finger of the glove, is still holding the handle at the moment of impact so this will be upheld. The change of plan worked for England, Plunkett banging the ball in from round the wicket, angled towards Karunaratne ribs and forced him to play. 93/220.2 pitched up in the channel... and gone, nicking to the keeper! Superb from Plunkett, getting the ball up towards the batsman, extra pace and Silva was feeling blindly for that, thin edge and well taken 40/157.6 Moeen as the huge breakthrough! What a moment. He's given lbw, but Sangakkara has reviewed. It's hit in line and is smashing middle. The spinner, who has barely bowled, has broken the stand. Sangakkara has looked so solid, he just played the wrong line 172/386.6 big wicket! Anderson gets one in the right spot, full outside off, Jayawardene lured into the drive, his bottom hand comes off the bat, and the edge flies to Prior's right 268/559.2 got 'im! It's not a king pair, but it's still a pair. A ripper from Moeen. A proper offspinner's wicket, Swann would have been proud of it. Drifting in towards middle and leg, gripped and turned past Thirimanne's outside edge to smash into middle. 176/4130.6 gone now! His epic innings is over. A low full toss angled into the pads, would you believe, which he flicks to the man just in front of square leg 437/989.3 short again, pulled into the deep and taken at deep square! A fine diving catch from Gary Ballance. Chandimal took the hook on, didn't keep it down and it just carried to Ballance running in and diving forward with two hands, a fine catch and the short ball works 277/689.4 over the wicket, short just outside off, batsman goes for an uppercut and merely finds third man! Another great catch, this time Root running in. It was nicely guided away but not a clever stroke with a man down in the deep, Root sprinted in, dived forward and took a splendid catch, two in two for the Yorkshire trio 277/7125.6 forward press to mid-on, there's a yes, no, wait, Herath is stranded and Root hits the stumps! A wicket for England on the stroke of tea and really that was the only way England were looking like getting a wicket. Mathews has sold his partner down the river, calling immediately for a run, getting two steps down the track before calling no, Herath was completely at sea and run out by several yards 426/8132.5 all over...full and straight. Hits middle stump. What they would have given for that at Lord's 457/10Extras30 (b 5, lb 10, nb 5, w 10)TOTAL457 all out (132.5 Overs, RR: 3.44, 579 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-40 (Kaushal Silva, 20.2 ov), 2-93 (Dimuth Karunaratne, 34.4 ov), 3-172 (Kumar Sangakkara, 57.6 ov), 4-176 (Lahiru Thirimanne, 59.2 ov), 5-268 (Mahela Jayawardene, 86.6 ov), 6-277 (Dinesh Chandimal, 89.3 ov), 7-277 (Dhammika Prasad, 89.4 ov), 8-426 (Rangana Herath, 125.6 ov), 9-437 (Angelo Mathews, 130.6 ov), 10-457 (Nuwan Pradeep, 132.5 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR19.6 full of length a foot wide of off stump, Robson forward, pushing firmly and nicks it to second slip! Goodness me, Prasad is rampant here and Sri Lanka have a firm grip on the game. The wrong length really to go hard at, a little wide too, and Robson got a thick outside edge looking to drive and it carried at chest height to Jayawardene who held on well 50/315.3 back of a length outside off, Cook goes to pull and drags it into his stumps! Can you believe it what a terrible way for Cook to go having played pretty soundly until that point but he's failed again and it's a first blow for Sri Lanka. A thick bottom edge has smashed into middle and leg stumps, when you're luck ain't in eh 39/115.4 full, swinging in, strikes the pad low and plumb lbw! A beauty first up, late swing into the left-hander and that would have smashed into middle and off stumps, fantastic delivery, not a lot Ballance could have done there 39/223.1 full of length, it nips back and knocks out off stump! Prasad is on fire and Sri Lanka are on their way to a famous victory. This is an absolute gem of a delivery, jagging back off the seam, beating Bell between the gate and clipping the off stump, absolutely superb bowling 52/456.5 breakthrough! That's the one they desperately wanted. And it's a full length which has worked. Was angled into the pads, but there was a hint of late seam movement away - as opposed to in -which took a thick outside edge as Root aimed to play through the leg side. Carried low to gully 124/626.2 tossed up outside off and oh my goodness me, Plunkett leans across and tries to drive it, gets nowhere near the pitch of the ball and chips it to cover! Simply outrageous from Plunkett, what the devil was he thinking of? It was a good two feet outside off, leave it all day long, why does he decide to go after it for? The simplest chance to cover 57/571.5 short ball again, Prior fends it off and it's taken by short leg! They're going to check the no-ball and it is so so close, they've got the camera zoomed right in because it is the closest call you'll see. But Prasad gets the benefit of the doubt and has a five-wicket haul, what a performance. It's a snorter at the throat, Prior went to fend it off and gloved it low to Silva at short leg who leaned forward to take a smart catch 160/788.2 done it! Full, sliding in, he was prodding forward. He reviews but it looks pretty straight. No bat involved for certain. That's the skid of the new ball helping Herath. It's striking middle and leg. Well bowled and well captained 212/896.4 he's done it! Change of angle has worked. Stone dead. A full delivery, pitching on middle, straightening a fraction, which he basically missed, playing the wrong line. Broad didn't review, which is a surprise in itself although it was very much out 228/9116.5 short ball, Anderson fends it off and loops a catch to backward square!!! Can you believe it! Eranga has pulled it off, a snorter that Anderson couldn't keep down for once and popped up a simple catch, what a disaster for Anderson after all that effort and what jubilation for Sri Lanka 249/10Extras31 (b 11, lb 7, nb 9, w 4)TOTAL249 all out (116.5 Overs, RR: 2.13, 500 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-39 (Alastair Cook, 15.3 ov), 2-39 (Gary Ballance, 15.4 ov), 3-50 (Sam Robson, 19.6 ov), 4-52 (Ian Bell, 23.1 ov), 5-57 (Liam Plunkett, 26.2 ov), 6-124 (Joe Root, 56.5 ov), 7-160 (Matt Prior, 71.5 ov), 8-212 (Chris Jordan, 88.2 ov), 9-228 (Stuart Broad, 96.4 ov), 10-249 (James Anderson, 116.5 ov)
