Sri Lanka Women 121 for 4 (Siriwardene 46*, Lokusuriyage 24*) beat India Women 117 for 8 (Raut 38, Samuddika 2-18, Prabodhani 2-20) by six wickets
Scorecard
An incisive bowling performance from Sri Lanka Women paved the way for the team's six-wicket victory against India Women in Visakhapatnam, and helped them take the series 2-1.
India, put in to bat, lost four quick wickets to slump to 12 for 4 inside four overs. Poonam Raut briefly stopped the slide, scoring a slow, but important 38 which included three fours, before departing in the 17th over. At 87 for 7, Sri Lanka would've hoped to clean up the tail quickly, but Jhulan Goswami, coming in at No.8, struck three sixes during an unbeaten 26-ball 37 to lift the hosts to 117 for 8 from their 20 overs. The seamers and spinners shared eight wickets between them for Sri Lanka, as Udeshika Prabodhani, Eshani Lokusuriyage, Maduri Samuddika and Shashikala Siriwardene ran through a line-up in which only three batters reached double figures.
Sri Lanka were slow chasing a paltry total, and were even 44 for 3 in the ninth over at one stage. However, the captain Siriwardene anchored the innings with a 42-ball 46 and forged an unbroken 32 runs for the fifth wicket with Lokusuriyage to take the visitors home with seven balls remaining.
