- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR3.1 gone! First wicket of the series. Excellent delivery from Broad, short of a length at the body, but Rogers didn't play it very well, just fending at it and lobbing an easy catch to gully off the splice. Broad (or 'that medium-pacer' as the local paper will have to say) enjoyed that. 12/130.3 oh, what's he done! Warner's slapped a short ball straight to cover. It wasn't a great delivery, short of a length outside off. Warner driving lazily off the back foot and it was a simple catch. 83/424.3 he's been seduced this time, pushing with stiff hands and edged to second slip, smartly taken by Swann leaping to his right! England have broken through, it's Broad again, he got a little extra bounce once more, having pitched the previous two up, really Watto should have left again but he was compelled to jab at it and the Swann dive had England jubilant 71/226.4 he's got him! The first short ball. Clarke has popped it to short leg. What a moment in this match and, maybe, the series. After the full balls it was banged in short, at the body, but not too short (he had to play) and all Clarke could do was pop a simple catch in the air on the leg side 73/344.3 Tremlett gets his first! He's in on the fun now as he attacks the line just outside off again and this one nips away just a tiny bit, Smith hangs the bat at it defensively and edges to first slip where it's swallowed comfortably 132/635.3 and another! Australia five down. Bailey couldn't hit the last one, but thick-edged this time. Pushing outside off without any footwork, the edge carries low to Cook at first slip. Anderson is on the board for series 100/597.1 he's gone! Excellent from Carberry. Haddin jabbed a full ball into the off side and wanted two, but he never had a chance once Carberry picked up the ball cleanly running in from deep point. It was an okay throw, a slightly awkward take from Prior who did very well to get the ball down onto the stumps 295/1082.6 Broad gets his fifth! That's the end of a terrific fighting partnership, and it ended thanks to the new ball and Stuart Broad's swing, he curves this one back in to the left-hander, Johnson tries to play straight but it nips between bat and pad and clobbers the middle stump. 246/787.5 and there is the edge! Anderson deserved that, he had beaten Siddle a number of times and this one just moved a fraction away and Siddle's defensive push is collected low to the ground at first slip 265/892.6 six for Broad...all rather casual. Harris tries to leave a length delivery outside, can't get his bat out of the line fast enough and the ball runs off the back to Prior 282/9Extras13 (lb 11, nb 1, w 1)TOTAL295 all out (97.1 Overs, RR: 3.03, 416 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-12 (Chris Rogers, 3.1 ov), 2-71 (Shane Watson, 24.3 ov), 3-73 (Michael Clarke, 26.4 ov), 4-83 (David Warner, 30.3 ov), 5-100 (George Bailey, 35.3 ov), 6-132 (Steven Smith, 44.3 ov), 7-246 (Mitchell Johnson, 82.6 ov), 8-265 (Peter Siddle, 87.5 ov), 9-282 (Ryan Harris, 92.6 ov), 10-295 (Brad Haddin, 97.1 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR10.2 probing outside off, Cook is drawn into playing and there's a visible deflection through to Haddin - Australia have the breakthrough they needed! Harris, into his sixth over, has been immaculate as ever and he gets Cook again, reward for his persistence. The delivery maybe nibbled away a touch off the seam, certainly bounced, a textbook left-hander neutraliser in the corridor 28/136.3 short, speared across and takes the edge, he's gone, Johnson does it again! Superbly planned and executed by Australia, Carberry was clearly discomfited by that line of attack, Johnson beating out a tattoo of short deliveries that rose towards the ribcage, this slid across and although he tried to withdraw the bat, it clipped a chunk and flew to slip 87/417.1 short and down the leg side, Trott plays away from his body and Haddin goes up in celebration - they've got him, Johnson has done it, on the stroke of lunch! Just as England did yesterday, Australia have plucked out the No. 3 just as the napkins were being laid out. Clarke in the slips wasn't sure but Haddin and Johnson had heard the noise, so had Aleem Dar and Snicko seems to confirm a feather, too. Short ball, short stay for Trott, again 55/230.6 gone! Massive moment. Pietersen has clipped it straight to midwicket. Australia have thought they can get Pietersen that way. It was full on middle, it came right out of the screws, but straight to George Bailey. Australia nudge their noses in front 82/337.2 spin and bounce, is there a little bit of glove as it pops to short leg? Yes, there is! Bell is gone, Lyon roars in delight, this trampolined off the surface as the batsman went back, the ball hit thigh pad and just a tickle of bat/glove, straight into the hands of the close catcher! The Gabba's grisly magic is working after all 87/538.4 full and wide, Root drives, huge edge and another one falls! England are in tatters, seven down, all their batsmen back in the coop! What was Root doing there?! It was pitched up, leaving him and he threw the bat, a loose drive, steering the ball into the midriff of third slip, Smith again. Australia in excelsis! 89/737.3 and is that another? Prior lobs the ball to short leg - or does he? Smith took it again at short leg, throwing himself to his right, but Dar wasn't convinced. Australia review after a brief discussion and it looks like a brilliant decision, as replays show the ball coming off the inside edge on to pad. Superb catch from Smith... and Dar raises the finger! Another golden duck for Prior at the Gabba - and we know what happened last time 87/652.4 all out! Broad goes for the pull again, but this time deep square makes ground towards deep midwicket to hold a good catch. They check the no-ball, again, and it's fine 136/1040.3 gone! Amazing, incredible scenes at the Gabba, England eight down! This is becoming a collapse for the ages, Swann the latest to be swallowed up, Johnson again the tormentor. He was hanging back for the short ball, this was on a length, on leg stump, he wasn't forward and an inside edge ballooned off the pad to short leg 91/847.2 Nine down! Another short ball, another wicket. Angled into Tremlett's body, he turns his eyes off the ball and fends it behind square when Lyon takes a good, low catch at leg gully 110/9Extras6 (b 4, lb 2)TOTAL136 all out (52.4 Overs, RR: 2.58, 246 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-28 (Alastair Cook, 10.2 ov), 2-55 (Jonathan Trott, 17.1 ov), 3-82 (Kevin Pietersen, 30.6 ov), 4-87 (Michael Carberry, 36.3 ov), 5-87 (Ian Bell, 37.2 ov), 6-87 (Matt Prior, 37.3 ov), 7-89 (Joe Root, 38.4 ov), 8-91 (Graeme Swann, 40.3 ov), 9-110 (Chris Tremlett, 47.2 ov), 10-136 (Stuart Broad, 52.4 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR23.1 short, wide - and spooned straight to point! What a start, Broad the man again, though I can't say there was anything too magical about that delivery. Rogers slumps off, he got a huge top edge, might even have been his first attacking shot in the innings 67/158.4 plays away from his body, thin edge and gone! A crumb of comfort for England, Broad again the catalyst with his eighth wicket in the match. Having just flayed a six down the ground, this was a slightly neither-nor way to go, just dangled the bat out. But the damage, you feel, is done 233/329.3 another half-tracker from Tremlett, Watson's eyes light up - but the ball has gone straight up! Another miscue gives England their second breakthrough of the morning, looked like he may have been through the shot too early (done by the lack of pace, the wags will say) and a huge top edge looped into the leg side, to be caught by Broad, who can't keep out of the action 75/274.5 he has a wicket! Clarke charges, swings to leg, and misses. Just a hint of turn, but it was a wild hack by Clarke. Swann looks to the skies in relief 294/561.4 excellent delivery, he gets Smith for the second time in the match. Similar line that removed him in the first innings, outside off, not quite so wide this time and it grazes the outside edge to the keeper 242/478.4 length ball on off stump and bowled him! Bailey pushes forward down the wrong line, the ball doesn't turn as much as he expects (if at all) and there's a crash of ash behind him 305/693.1 pitched up outside off, Haddin slaps the the cover off it, straight into the hands of mid-off. Tremlett picks up another wicket, brief and breezy from the Australia wicketkeeper 395/7Extras12 (b 4, lb 8)TOTAL401/7d (94 Overs, RR: 4.26, 420 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-67 (Chris Rogers, 23.1 ov), 2-75 (Shane Watson, 29.3 ov), 3-233 (David Warner, 58.4 ov), 4-242 (Steven Smith, 61.4 ov), 5-294 (Michael Clarke, 74.5 ov), 6-305 (George Bailey, 78.4 ov), 7-395 (Brad Haddin, 93.1 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR60.2 got him! That's the big one. Extra bounce, draws Cook into another cut stroke and this time it takes the top edge. Perhaps a little tight to him for the stroke, but the bounce was the key. 142/54.4 gone! It's dribbled onto the stumps. Was a shorter length delivery, Carberry defended on the back foot with soft hands, the ball dropped down by his feet then spun back between his legs to clunk into the stumps. An element of bad luck for the batsman. Persistence from Harris 1/17.1 oh boy, oh boy! Trott's horrors continued. He has been completely worked over and has pulled straight to deep square leg. Australia can't believe it. The plan was set and Trott obliged. It was short, Trott pulled, didn't seem to try and keep it down. England in tatters. 10/229.2 short ball, Pietersen takes it on... and picks out long leg! Johnson breaks the partnership, two balls after the drinks break and Pietersen is heading back to the dressing room, where he'll get to mull his shot choice over a fresh cup of what-the-hell-was-that? The man had been stationed there throughout Johnson's brief spell, Pietersen couldn't resist taking it on and got a big top edge, couldn't have been much easier for the substitute, Chris Sabburg, taking the catch. No 100th-Test heroics for KP 72/353.1 gone! He's made something happen. Extra bounce outside off, Bell tries to drop his hands but is too late and the ball takes the outside edge to Haddin. 130/462.4 would you believe! He's picked out leg slip. That's very lazy from Prior. The line was outside leg stump, he could have kicked or left it, and he turned it straight off the face of the bat to leg slip 146/663.2 done it! That didn't take long. It was 91mph/146kph, short down the leg side, Broad, jumping across his crease, fences at it and gets a glove down the leg side. The Australians go wild. 151/763.4 and another! This is a procession. Dare I say, weak? It's pushed across outside off, Swann chases it and gets a thick edge to third slip where it's well taken diving to his right by Smith 151/876.5 got him this time, the ball thudding into the splice before dropping into Bailey's outstretched hand at short leg! After a short working over, Tremlett departs, deserved reward for Harris. One bouncer too many for the hulking Tremlett, he wasn't getting out of the way this time and Australia are on the brink 172/981.1 Anderson fends at another brute of a ball from Johnson, it goes straight up in the air and it is the bowler, fittingly, who jogs underneath to complete the dismissal and ensure that Australia win the match by 381 runs, giving them a 1-0 lead in the series 179/10Extras4 (lb 2, nb 1, w 1)TOTAL179 all out (81.1 Overs, RR: 2.2, 326 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-1 (Michael Carberry, 4.4 ov), 2-10 (Jonathan Trott, 7.1 ov), 3-72 (Kevin Pietersen, 29.2 ov), 4-130 (Ian Bell, 53.1 ov), 5-142 (Alastair Cook, 60.2 ov), 6-146 (Matt Prior, 62.4 ov), 7-151 (Stuart Broad, 63.2 ov), 8-151 (Graeme Swann, 63.4 ov), 9-172 (Chris Tremlett, 76.5 ov), 10-179 (James Anderson, 81.1 ov)
