Scorer: Sanjay Murari | Commentator: Devashish Fuloria

So that is the end of our coverage of this series, it's been a pleasure with all the feedback and comments. Siddharth Ravindran, Andrew Fernando and Mohammad Isam will write a lot later today, but I am done for now. Catch you later. DF signing off, ciao ciao.

Presentation:

Angelo Mathews: "We were put under a little bit of pressure in the first innings, but Sanga and Chandimal scored those useful centuries. Sanga works unbelievably hard, and what more can you ask from Rangana Herath. After Murali, Herath has been the man for us. We have a lot to improve upon and lot to learn. Bangladesh played really well and put us under pressure, but i never really doubted my team."

Mushfiqur Rahim: "We were probably 100 runs short in the second innings. I am not thinking of giving up wicketkeeping. We are really playing well over the last one and a half years. Couple of young guys came through - Nasir, Mominul - and Ashraful came back as well. They played really well against Sri Lanka in pressure situation. Hopefully they will get better with time."

Kumar Sangakkara is the Man of the Series (441 runs): "That's what you have to do in Test cricket. Concentration is a very important part of batting or anything. There is no secret - preparation, hard work and you have to be 100 % before the match day - mentally, physically, and technically. This was a tough Test for Angelo, against Bangladesh you expect to win, but that also puts a lot of pressure. Lots of young players in the side, they will only get better. Bangladesh will walk away with positives. We were surprised the way they played the first Test, they really played well and tested us. Congratulations to Mushfiqur, Ashraful and their bowlers "

Coconut Donkey: "Sanga concedes that Lara, Tendulkar, Ponting and Kallis are the greatest of the modern era and happy to be mentioned in that company.."

Rangana Herath get the Man-of-the-Match award: "I just wanted to bowl the right thing. If you take yesterday's position when Bangladesh was 100 for 2, the game was in balance, but after that we took in under control with those two late wickets."

Dilshan gets an award for fastest 50, Abul Hasan gets an award for hitting two sixes, and Chandimal gets a phone for being a smart player. (What has cricket come to...)

sathish2888: "No award for hitting the winning run?"

Misam: "Who got the award for the most comprehensively done homework?"

AshFan: "No awards for reading the commentry on cricinfo?"

Sri Lanka take the series with a seven-wicket win in the second Test. First win for Angelo Mathews. But it didn't come easy. There was a run-fest in Galle, and it was all hard-work here. The difference was Sanga's century in the first innings and Herath's amazingly accurate bowling that gave him 12 wickets in the match. It was Herath's match in the end.

Mark: "It's a pity. Bangladesh were competing hard in this series until yesterday's collapse. They must have been dreaming up until then of a first shared series against major opposition. Even so, this must be their most consistent ever series against a strong side." --- Well said Mark, they had a very strong start to the innings before they gave it all away.

Shamalka: "Win is a WIN! This is not only the time SL depended on a lone performer to win a match so Mathews won't mind it whether it came on a single-handed performance or on an team effort. He'll take it from both hands since he won his 1st ever series as SL Test captain. We done Mathews & the team! A Special thanks to World Class Sanga & ever reliable Herath!"

Some serious performances from both sides - Sanga, Herath, Mushfiqur's double, Dilshan, Chandimal, Ashraful, Nasir, Gazi, Mominul .. the list goes on and on.. I was particularly impressed with the bowler's from both sides who bowled tirelessly in these two matches with little help...
