The pick of the bowlers for New Zealand was Morna Nielson, who conceded just nine runs in her four overs.

New Zealand's successful chase was set up by a century opening stand between Lucy Doolan and captain Suzie Bates, who struck 10 fours in her 67, brought off 44 balls. Though both fell in quick succession after adding 101, the rest ensured the target was successfully achieved with 11 balls to spare.
