Rudolph dabbed the ball towards backward point and set off, Bracewell swooped on the ball quickly by running to his right - he is a swift mover for a big man - picked up with one hand, and fired the throw accurately to van Wyk, who broke the stumps neatly 161/6

3.2 caught at first slip! Nicol prods at a ball that pitches on a good length, bounces a bit more and straightens off the surface. He edges it high on his bat and it carries comfortably to Smith 7/1

16.5 bowled him! Guptill has not survived his first ball after lunch. He pushed forward at a length ball outside off, with his bat a little away from his body. The ball went through that gap off the inside edge and crashed into middle and leg. Guptill was off balance as he played that ball, his front foot hadn't landed 41/2

38.1 caught and bowled! And look at Tahir celebrate! McCullum's lost his composure and tried to sweep Tahir, he got a top edge towards midwicket, and Tahir ran across to take the catch himself. There was a deep square leg for that shot as well 106/3

41.4 caught behind! Taylor's played a horrible shot. The short of a length ball was wide outside off stump, it was perhaps there to be cut but Taylor didn't move his feet to get closer to the ball. He ended up reaching far away from his body and nicked it to Boucher 116/4

49.6 caught behind! The ball was pitched short of a length just outside off stump and it held its line, Williamson tried to punch off the back foot and got the outside edge through to Boucher 135/5

67.3 caught and bowled! A strange dismissal. The ball was short of a length outside off, Vettori was on the back foot preparing to play a horizontal bat shot - a pull. And then he decided not to. And didn't lower his bat. The ball thudded into the bat and lobbed up off it. Kallis had to accelerate during his follow through, sprint forward, dive and tumble while taking a low catch 188/6

81.2 edged and taken! Philander keeps it on a good length just outside off stump, van Wyk is caught in his crease and pokes at the ball as it leaves him off the pitch, he didn't move his feet and the outside edge is taken low at first slip. Smith stooped forward and just got his fingers under the ball, van Wyk walks off, and then hears boos from the crowd who think the catch isn't clean, and stops. And then he continues walking. It was clean. 229/7

84.6 bowled him! That's the Steyn trademark. The fast ball on a good length, pitching on leg and middle and bending towards off. Bracewell is caught on the crease and defends down the wrong line. The ball screams past the outside edge and hits off stump. That delivery has accounted for far more illustrious batsmen. 239/9

81.4 that's a poor shot from Southee and he's been caught at first slip by Smith as well. He simply wafted away from his body at a good length ball that seamed away from him and edged it at a comfortable height. No fight at all from him. Tame. 229/8

88.2 caught at short leg, New Zealand have been dismissed for 273. Martin pushed off the back foot at a short of a length ball with a slightly closed face, he played it in the air to Amla, who took a sharp catch 273/10

11.2 he's been caught at mid-off. Once again Petersen reached forward to drive a good length ball on the up, he was playing away from his body and did not time it well. He ended up hitting it flat and Southee moved to his left and slid as he held the catch 45/1

81.1 Takes out Graeme Smith! Short of a good length on the off, appeared to hold its line, Smith, on the back foot, pushed at it away from his body and got an inside edge onto the stumps 247/3

11.6 edged and Guptill's caught a blinder at second slip. Has that carried? The umpires are conferring and going up to the TV umpire. Bracewell's front foot is okay as he delivers a good length ball outside off, Amla pushes away from his body on the front foot, and edges it low between second and third slip. The fielder at third slip dived to his left but the ball was too far away. Guptill dived to his right, and caught the ball with one hand, centimetres off the ground. It's a very low catch but it looks clean, in my opinion, as clean as such low catches can look on television replays. Nicol diving from third slip to his left obscured what would have been one of the best views 47/2

97.3 caught, a softish dismissal but it doesn't matter for New Zealand, they'll be glad to see the back of Kallis, pitched up on the pads, a juicy delivery there for being dispatched but Kallis didn't time it all too well and played it uppishly, straight into the hands of an alert midwicket 283/4

117.2 AB holes out, slog-sweep but not timed as well, came off the bottom of the bat and Brendon McCullum at deep midwicket takes it comfortably 353/5

20.1 What a tame dismissal, Nicol will be shattered, a loopy, juicy full toss on leg stump and it's struck straight to Smith at mid-on, silence around the ground, Nicol walks back dejectedly, he had just begun to grow confident 55/2

7.6 Guptill has to go, it was Nicol who had been having problems outside off but his partner is the one who falls first, lands on a good length and moves away just a hint, making the batsman play, was close to the off stump, Guptill obliged and got a thick edge, and AB at second slip made no mistake 16/1
