West Indies A 152 for 4 (Dwayne Smith 71*) beat Bangladesh A 97 for 9 (Mominul 42, Santokie 4-24) by 55 runs
Scorecard

A day after narrowly losing the opening Twenty20, West Indies A fought back to level the two-match series with a big win over Bangladesh A in Gros Islet. Their headliners were again captain Dwayne Smith, who batted through the innings to make an unbeaten 71, and Jamaican left-arm quick bowler Krishmar Santokie, who took four wickets to derail the Bangladesh chase.

It wasn't exactly a flying start for West Indies after they chose to bat, progressing steadily to 79 for 1 after 12 overs. It was then that Smith became more aggressive, and with the help of wicketkeeper Devon Thomas, who crashed four fours in a 14-ball 25, pushed West Indies beyond 150.

It was a far stiffer target for Bangladesh than the one they just about chased down in the first game. As in that match, the batting was shaky on Saturday as well. Again one of their openers was dismissed for a duck - Junaid Siddique this time - and six of the top eight were dismissed in single digits. No. 4 Mominul Haq battled with a 35-ball 42 but he had little support from the rest and the chase petered out - Bangladesh not even managing to reach triple-figures.

Smith's efforts earned him both the Man-of-the-Match award, and the Man-of-the-Series gong as well.
