Scorer: M Venkat Raghav | Commentator: Abhishek Purohit

That is all from us, this is Abhishek Purohit signing off along with our scorer Venkat Raghav. Join us for the 2nd T20I on Monday at 2 pm local time. Here is Sid Talya's match report for you to read. Cheers

Brendan Taylor wasn't at the presentation, hope he has not done too much harm after he banged his head in to the turf while attempting that catch.

Brendon McCullum, the Man of the Match. Brendon: "Most of the credit to the bowlers, they made it easy to come out and bat that way. I like to bat that way, we have got many players of different skillsets and power, this is my job, it is not going to work every time though."

Ross Taylor: "We came here to win, and the way we started with the ball was pleasing, but we know Zimbabwe will come hard at us. When you have been out of cricket for so long, the way we backed up the bowlers in the field was excellent. Brendon and Martin were outstanding with the bat."

Smashing win for New Zealand then, was too easy in the end. Zimbabwe lost it when they just could not get going with the bat, too many wickets falling throughout the innings. And then Brendon McCullum just blew them away

Phil: "Fortunately for Zimbabwe, Chris Martin wasn't needed today..." Aye, His Phantomness is safely tucked away for the crunch situations

Guptill: "We haven't played for six months now, good to get a win. Brendon is a freak, he does it so well. Wicket was a little bit slow."

Price to BB McCullum, SIX, Baz ends in typical fashion, doesn't matter that Price fires it in flat and quick, Baz is already way down the track and has enough momentum to lift the ball high over wide long on to end the game
13.2

Price to Guptill, 1 run, backs away even further outside leg, Price drops it a touch short as he angles it in, he drags the pull through midwicket

Price to Guptill, no run, stands a foot outside leg, Price follows him and he pushes it back to the bowler

Ben: "Batting down to #11 wasn't really needed for NZ today."
