That brings us to the end of the limited-overs leg of India's West Indies tour. The first Test match starts on Monday in Jamaica. Do join us then. Till then, on behalf of George Binoy, Sid Ravi and the entire Cricinfo team, this is Abhishek Purohit signing off. Cheers!

The players walk up to collect their medallions. Raina collects the series trophy which marks India's third series win in their previous four ODI series in the Caribbean

Suresh Raina: "Now that we have won the series it is important to enjoy the moment. I would say we were short by 25-30 runs. They bowled well in the end. I was looking good, I need to spend some time in the middle, I just can't go in and play big shots, will look to have a couple of sessions with the coach."

Rohit Sharma is the Man of the Series. Rohit: "Was important for me to get some runs, wanted to make this tour count, glad it came off well. I kept telling myself I had to stay in the middle as long as possible, wanted to take the game through to the end. Was very disappointed in the last two games, today I could have taken it to the 48th or 49th over, but it happens at times."

Darren Sammy: "Credit to all the bowlers who came back very well. looked like we would chase 300 at one stage. We all know what Bravo is capable of doing. It was a decision we had to take, Sarwan was cramping, thought it would be good for the team if a new batter came in. We have to start well in the future. The wicket looks like a good one and will suit us for the Test."

Andre Russell is Man of the Match for his four wickets. Russell: "We have been playing good cricket over the past two games. Being positive, get the ball in the right areas, was a good wicket to bowl on in the morning. One or two of the Indian batsmen are not accustomed to the short ball, so I tried to use it as a surprise weapon, but when I did, I put everything in it."

Hang on for the presentation

What a moment! Marlon Samuels runs straight to the waiting Chris Gayle among the crowd beyond the boundary, and high-fives. Gayle is smiling broadly, he is laughing, the drums are playing and the horns are blaring. Handshakes all around. Duncan Fletcher looks impassive, as always. Samuels is pumped up. Darren Sammy is all smiles. One win, it is a dead rubber, but this win matters for the Kingston crowd. Their day is made.

Sahil: "samuels running straight to gayle conveyed whole lot of things without saying any thing...." It didn't say anything, it shouted it out loud

Deemi: "I hope this WI win cures all those of its supporters (as indeed others around the globe) of their obsession with run-rate right from the start. That's what T20 has done. Even at the amateur level that I play at, I try to conserve wickets first. Samuels has also silenced his detractors."
